Bob S.
An expensive gamble on the wrong people
In 2025 I subscribed to several $2,000+ plans from Paradigm Press out of admiration and respect for Jim Rickards, and because I valued his financial opinions and advice. After about fifteen months, however, I learned that his actual recommendations are almost nonexistent. His name and image are splashed all over the recommendations of others and the solicitations from Paradigm, but over the course of a year I received only a handful of stock recommendations that were solely his, although all the other Paradigm ‘experts’ freely append Rickards’ name to their recommendations. After sinking about $10,000 into Paradigm Press in hopes of following Rickards’ advice, there’s only a handful of recommendations that Rickards identifies as his alone, unlike the other Paradigm advisors. I’d say that Jim Rickards is to Paradigm Press what Colonel Sanders is to Kentucky Fried Chicken. He may have helped start the company, and his picture and moniker may be all over the company’s promotions, but his personal delivery of the actual product is close to absent but for the other experts ending the signature to their analyses with “…and Jim Rickards”. As one example, I joined the Mastermind Group in hopes of getting more of Rickards’ personal recommendations. (He is one of the three ‘masterminds’.) Unfortunately, the primary stock picks of the Paradigm Mastermind Group were complete disasters, as they tanked soon after the recommendations. In fact, in every instance I would be much richer if I had bought ‘put options’ when the ‘masterminds’ recommended ‘call options’. It’s been that bad. It appears either Rickards doesn’t know what he is doing, or he is just a token advisor – I’m convinced of the latter. The only thing less available than a Jim Rickards stand-alone recommendation is customer service. As perhaps a trivial but good example, my name is ‘Bob’. Paradigm Press calls me ‘Michael’ in all their correspondence, solicitations, messages, etc. I must have tried six different ways to get it fixed, but nothing was done. The problem is that they also gave me all of ‘Michael’s’ personal information in Northampton UK, along with his street address, phone number, email address, etc. I’ve been called worse names than ‘Michael’, but when it comes to Paradigm’s disregard for his privacy after being alerting many times and ways, I realized they just don’t seem to care.
