Titan Standard Series Pallet Forks in John Deere green powder coat
I bought Titan Standard Series pallet forks in John Deere green powder coat with 36 inch black tines back in December 2022 in the John Deere green color. Just a few months later the color has faded to a blueish green, not even close to the color of the John Deere 1025R tractor I attach them to. The forks have only been used for two hours or less. The black color on the forks is still black and does not show any signs of wear. I reached out to customer service and was told that the product management team and engineering team have classified the issue as wear and tear, which unfortunately is not covered under our warranty. Therefore, we apologize as we cannot accommodate your warranty claim. This is not a wear and tear problem this is a manufacturing problem with the paint that is applied. The paint shouldn’t fade in a few months. If I knew the paint was going to fade that fast, I would have done one of two things, bought the forks in black or purchased from a different manufacturer. The pallet forks themselves are still black, that is where you would see wear and tear the most, since that is where any load would be placed, yet they are still black. The frame is John Deere green and mostly only hold the forks and attach to the frame. There is little to no sign of wear, since I have only used them a few hours at most. Most of the time, there are sitting on wood next to the Frontier Mechanical Grapple which is still John Deere green with many more hours of usage. I can agree that if there was scraped paint on the forks or at the attachment points that would be wear and tear, but for the whole frame to fade at once that is manufacturing defect in materials and workmanship.
