Your approach is good but asking for agreement for each step of the recovery, extends the repair.

The tech with whom I dealt was responsive and promptly replied to my inquiries and requests. I would recommend Outsource and have no complaints.

These guys did a great job, recovered all my data and sent me a hard drive with everything on it. My only complaint is the cost. It was much more expensive than I thought it was going to be as I am a first timer. An expensive lesson to back up my data!

Okay service. I did receive a small discount for having an educational company that was using the hard drive that I sent to repair, but the prices are much higher than they state on their website. After thousands of hard drives, you'd think they'd have an idea of how much a repair will cost when you tell them what's wrong with the hard drive ahead of time. And, when I was told I'd be able to access the information online for my 2TD hard drive a day later I received an email saying that there was a problem on their end and I had to wait a couple more days. That was just one of the inconveniences. The main reason as to why the service wasn't 5 Stars was because even though I paid for economy service, I was left in the dark for 4 weeks about where it was in the queue and when my hard drive would be finished. At this point in time, they do not have a system to let you know when emergency hard drives are sent in and being worked on ahead of yours. If you aren't in a hurry to get your hard drive back outsource Data Recovery isn't the best or the worst option.

Service was very good. Status reports were very helpful. Results were outstanding. However there was one problem...We don't receive mail at our house. Because we don't know how a package will be shipped to us (UPS, Fedx, or USPS) we have to put our street address and PO box number in the shipping address. That printed fine on your invoice that was enclosed inside the package we received, but the shipping on the outside only had the street address. Most of the time the post office will return a package with no box number. Only because we live in a small community and the post master know us, he just happened to see our package and redirect it to our po box, other wise it was all set to be returned. Why wasn't the shipping label the same as the shipping address you had for us?
