They're a data collection redirect site. Not an insurance company
Just like so many other reviewers experience OTTO is a waste of time. Basically they collect your personal data then sell it to other companies. After entering your personal details you'll be redirected to as many other redirect sites you care to be strung along for. After getting redirected 5 times I received quotes which were substantially higher than my present rate.

It is a scam
It is a scam. They run their ad on Facebook and advertise auto premiums like $38/month full coverage. After getting all your auto and personal info they simply redirect you to Progressive, Liberty, etc. Those guys will easily charge $200 to 250/month

Misrepresented the entire experience
Misrepresented the entire experience. The add claims that they got rid of the middle man to save money. Then I've got a message from an Allstate insurance agent(!?) who is exactly a middle man! AND the quote was almost $100 MORE per month compared to what I'm paying right now. 😭

Waste of Time
I just got done with filling out my info on their site and it never gave me a quote it's just a glorified redirection link Platform. And they Collect all your info and sell it. Not shocking but they didn't do what the said so its not earned.

This platform is a Joke!!!!!!
This platform is a Joke!!!!!!! They provide your information to all the car insurance companies and agents. Then your entire couple of days will be ruined. Multiple people will ask you to reconfirm everything once more. After all the hassle, the best deal I got was $800 more than my current car insurance bill for next six months. I was looking for homeowners insurance…
I was looking for homeowners insurance and put in my information. I have received 50+ calls and 25+ emails from firms asking the same information I imputed. Some asked for SSN. I have spend 3 days marking numbers as junk.

17 unwanted phone calls within 2 hours
Before I could even finish answering the online questions...the phone calls started. Within 1 hour I received 10 different phone calls all from different numbers. Some left messages and were from various insurance companies. After 2 hours the call number was up to 17. Ridiculous. I don't have time to answer all those calls let alone spend time talking to each one. Once i finished filling out the forms a company was selected for me (All State). I was redirected to their site to provide additional info only to be told the quote couldn't be completed online that I would have to talk to an agent.
