A truly phenomenal experience! I think that any visitor to Egypt would have a great experience, but Osiris Tours made it the trip of a lifetime. Our guide, Essam, was so incredibly knowledgeable and congenial and warm. I learned so much from him, but what set him, and Osiris Tours, apart is the care with which they treated us. I had small glimpses of the work they did behind the scenes for us, arranging travel, tours, airport travel, etc. (Hossam went out of his way to pick us up even though we arrived early and were staying with another hotel before our tour began!) And, I am certain there was so much more I did not see. They are masterful facilitators. I cannot name another trip or time in my life where I felt so entirely cared for and tended to. From beginning to end, they ensured our comfort, safety, and whims! It was a luxury experience in every way.

As a female solo traveler, I had my apprehensions about visiting Egypt and Jordan. I simply told Mahmoud the places I wanted to visit and the activities I was interested in, and he took care of everything—from hotel bookings to domestic flights. Upon arrival at the airport, I was greeted and assisted by their representative and got through immigration quickly and smoothly. I was also very pleased with the drivers and tour guides Mahmoud provided. I felt safe and secure the entire time. The guides were knowledgeable and shared valuable insights about every site we visited. One of the best things about this tour was the flexibility—I could adjust my schedule and explore at my own pace. Everyone I encountered was helpful and accommodating, which made my trip to Egypt and Jordan not only smooth but also unforgettable. Osiris Tours is owned and operated by New Jersey-based Mahmoud Gebril, a former Egyptian tour guide himself who helped us plan and execute a marvelous, once-in-a-lifetime tour of more than 30 major Egyptian archaeological sites and museums. As anthropologists-ethnographers accustomed to challenging travel and living conditions, we had never considered embarking on a customized tour before (or even traveling with a group tour, for that matter). We were looking to take an intensive, deep dive into Egyptian history, mythology, and architectural wonders spanning five millennia, as well as get a sense of the region’s prehistory and contemporary urban cultures. It would have been difficult to orchestrate it all ourselves, so we’re glad that we learned about Osiris Tours from friends who traveled with the company to Egypt in 2023. We came home fully satisfied with every aspect of the journey. The company’s excellent reputation in delivering customized private-tour experiences is built on the invaluable expertise of dedicated Egyptologists and support personnel who know first-hand the language, cultural practices, and logistical ins and outs. With the able guidance of two knowledgeable Egyptologists, Cairo-based Ahmed Fathy Alsayed and Luxor-based Esam (Sam) Fallah Itsa, we always managed to beat the crowds and sometimes found ourselves the only visitors in some places. Transportation was handled superbly by a coordinated team of airport representatives and skilled drivers used to negotiating the astonishing traffic jams. We traveled from Cairo to Aswan by air, by private van to Abu Simbel, cruised down the Nile to Luxor (including a day trip to Abydos and Dendera temple complexes in Qena, rarely visited by casual tourists), and flew back to Cairo. The 13-day/12-night itinerary featured an all-inclusive three-day Nile cruise on the Sonesta Moon Goddess and four different five-star hotels with truly sumptuous breakfast buffets. We could not have been better fed or well cared for, and we are grateful for everyone’s efforts.

What an adventure! We were looking to book a last-minute trip to Egypt and after reviewing multiple companies we contacted Osiris tours. We normally just backpack and plan as we go in other countries, but without speaking Arabic or knowing much about the region we decided to do an official tour. We're glad we did! Mahmoud the owner was very responsive and helpful and was able to accommodate a custom itinerary within a very short amount of time. We were nervous about booking since we didn't know anyone who traveled with Osiris Tours let alone to Egypt. Once we were there and saw how professional and accommodating everyone was, our concerns soon disappeared. Navigating Egypt ourselves would have been possible but there is no way we would have been able to see nearly as much as we saw in 12 days! Our itinerary was packed full. There is so much more to see in Egypt than we expected, and every day was truly amazing and unique. Having a professional Egyptologist to show us around each site also provided valuable insight into what we were experiencing. We had a really great time with Hotep and were so glad to have him as a guide around Luxor, and Bazooka around Cairo. We were surprised by how many people were involved in our trip (several airport representatives, regional organizers, drivers, tour guides, etc.) and it was clear that everyone was working very hard to keep things organized and on-schedule. Everyone was so welcoming and the tour guides were really informative. We were able to just enjoy the adventure, rather than being stressed and preoccupied with logistics had we been planning things ourselves. We would definitely recommend Osiris Tours! My son and I took a 15 day tour to Egypt and Petra. Osiris Tour organized a fabulous tour. More importantly every thing that was promised was done to perfection. We were met by or guides and drivers on time. Every one of our tour guides was very well educated and had an abundance of knowledge. We developed also a personal relation ship with them The Hotels were all wonderful and very comfortable. The food where provided was abundant with international offerings as well a regional and local foods, which we really enjoyed. Yes I would recommend Osiris to anyone who wants a personal touch and a choice of out of the way venues. Osisis tour will really guide you and cater what you want to experience . I do highly recommend to take the time to see Petra. It is such a special place unique in the history of the world.
