Dear Oshi Health Team,
Dear Oshi Health Team, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services and unprofessional conduct I experienced with Oshi Health. I believe it is imperative to bring these issues to your attention to prevent similar distress for other patients. During my initial appointment with the GI provider assigned to me, who turned out to be a Nurse Practitioner (NP) rather than a GI specialist, I was alarmed by the immediate recommendation of treatment on the first visit without any diagnostic tests or results. Specifically, the NP suggested Skyrizi, claiming it did not lead to infections, despite contradicting information from widely available commercials. Despite my reservations, I decided to proceed with the process and underwent lab work to check my inflammation levels. On Thursday at 6:45 PM CST, I received an unexpected call from Christie Morrison, with whom I had a scheduled appointment on 7/25. At that time, I was unavailable as I was attending to a client. I requested to discuss my results the following day, but Christie insisted on an immediate discussion, stating, "Well, I need to go over your results now because they are REALLY BAD." Despite reiterating my unavailability, Christie did not provide an alternative solution, such as directing me to the nearest ER or offering an after-hours contact number if the situation was truly urgent. If it was actually serious, she would have. This approach was not only unprofessional but also deeply distressing, as Christie is aware that I suffer from anxiety. Her alarming communication led to a panic attack in front of my client, causing unnecessary trauma. To add to my frustration, I was later informed that Christie was unavailable on Friday as she was off, despite my earlier request to speak then. After insisting on speaking with another NP to get my results, I was shocked to discover that Christie's urgent message was about information we already knew. Moreover, she was about to recommend a treatment that I am allergic to. This entire episode caused undue stress and anxiety for no valid reason. Such behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. As a result, I have requested to be removed as a patient from Oshi Health. I am reporting this incident to ensure that no other patient has to endure a similar experience. I expect a thorough review of this matter and appropriate actions to be taken to address these concerns. I look forward to your prompt response.
