really wish I could put zero stars. A joke of a company. Takes your money. Website states 5-7 day delivery. Invoice comes with 21 day delivery on it. 3 months later. 20 emails demanding answers. I’ve now demanded a refund. The staff lie, cheat. Take your money for items “in stock” that’s are not in stock. They don’t tell you anything. You have to chase them. They never update you. And take 2 weeks to get replies. Will never order again.

I bought several veg plants which all arrived dead. Many were late and very small so I will miss the growing season. I’ll seed my own next year. I telephoned to ask customer service to replace dead items but they didn’t have any further stock. I was advised I would be refunded. Then I received a replacement which was also nearly dead and not like for like. As I ordered a few items it was quite inconvenient to phone through each time as email auto response advises x9 days before you can expect a response which is ridiculous; that’s not an acceptable service level esp in growing season. Payment advice/invoices are in Sutton’s name which confuses one because the trading name is Organic gardening. I’m still awaiting a fruit tree and if that arrives it’ll surely be too late to get going and fruiting - that’s if it survives the shipping or is sent semi dead in the first place. I was so pleased to find the Organic Gardening catalogue which looked to cater well fit this market but it falls way short of expectations and fails to deliver. A waste and time and money.

Oh dear, I have now seen the reviews! Ordered a few packs of wildflower seeds and website states 600 or 1000 seeds per pack - there were about 10 seeds in each pack! I appreciate 600/1000 was cheap at £2.99 a pack, but the fact is they seem to be putting misleading product information on their website. I would now stay away until these customer issues are resolved!

This company is trading on the trend for organic gardening but it is actually owned by Suttons! My husband bought a 1.8 metre Veg Trug from them for my birthday and he was told that it is only available with the hideous plastic cover which I didn’t want. The cost for the Veg Trug and cover was £299.99! I decided I would like the cold frame too and found it on the OGC website for £199.99 but as it was out of stock I rang Veg Trug direct to see if they had the cold frame in stock! I was shocked to find that Veg Trug sell the trug and plastic cover separately and for £30 less than the OGC sell them for - the cover that I didn’t want was £79.99. The cold frame is £40 less - 20% cheaper!!! - than the OGC! So I rang the OGC to see why they charge so much more than Veg Trug’s RRP and to ask why I was told the trug can only be sold with the plastic cover! I spoke to Vicky who was polite and seemed understanding! Vicky said she’d look into it and call me back which she did - except she rang back to say she’d passed it on the the senior team to investigate! I followed the call up with an email with photo-shots of the items with the RRP on Veg Trug’s website. I had an fairly standard reply saying they were forwarding my email to their senior team to investigate and I’d get a reply within 72 hours! This was on 22 May - by 4th of June I’d heard nothing so I rang them again. I was on hold for 20 minutes to be put through to a customer services advisor. I spoke to Ash who was polite and tried his best to help but he kept having to put me on hold to go off and speak to the Management team! Each time he came back he had been told to give me a response which wasn’t satisfactory. Not his fault to be fair! After the call had been an hour long I suggested he speak to his management team and call me back which he did. He had been told to tell me they could come and collect the veg trug and cover and refund me! Not an option as the Veg Trug is built and planted up! I suggested that rather than putting me on hold again to back and forward with the management team he asked them to call me back. Ash said he’d try his very best but clearly he didn’t think they would - and he was right - still no call back! I can’t fault Vicky or Ash - they were polite and tried really hard to help but their hands are tied by an management team who seem unwilling to help and seem to care even less! So at the moment I’m left with an £80 plastic cover that I needn’t have had to buy and didn’t want! I only bought the Veg Trug from the OGC as they were out of stock elsewhere (even with Veg Trug themselves at that time) I’d avoid this company! They are selling goods way above the RRP and leave their customer care team to take the flack from customers who rightly feel aggrieved and annoyed when they find out that they have paid far more than the RRP!

This company only deserves one star because I did receive the seeds that I had ordered, BUT my order of tomato and bean plants has not been fulfilled and I ordered these back in April. I spoke to someone once on the telephone but still no delivery. I have requested my money back now but the contact email I sent was not delivered. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!

Spent a lot of money on seeds and several varieties failed to germinate and have been waiting for live plants which haven’t arrived. Emailed them twice with no response and been trying for 3 days to get through to customer service and all I get is irritating music. Will never use them again, non existent customer service.

Poor service. I ordered plants and they sent a delivery date so I arranged my trip away after the date. Then they changed the delivery date so that it was while I was away. I asked them to delay a week and they said "no", give us an alternative address. I gave them a neighbour's address to deliver to but they have not updated the order details over a week later. Used to be a good company but they were taken over by Suttons and now they are rubbish. Best avoided.

This used to be a great company, i ahve rdered lots from them before and been really pleased. But, my latest order was placed in early Feb and THREE MONTHS later I'm still waiting. No communication from them, no reply to my emails, apart from an auto reply telling me it will be nine days until they respond! I won't use this company again.
