I recommend to anyone considering this club, make sure you read the fine print. When you decide to cancel expect to pay a full month cancellation fee. For 2 they charged us over $300. They also charged $15.00 just to freeze our account. Any class you book and then can’t make it $18.00 penalty fee no matter they only have 3-4 people in the class. I suggest considering another club. The owners here are out for themselves. THUMBS DOWN!!!

Push Pace to Injury
I’ve been an OTF member twice and needed to leave BOTH times from injury. The workouts are intense. The class culture is competitive and around 6 months into a 12 month membership I got tendon injuries which worsened with the workouts.
I provided 2 doctor’s notes prohibiting me from HIIT workouts and this club will not cancel my membership or offer another freeze option. I’ve reached out multiple times to the club manager, regional manager and parent website with NO resolution. They continue to charge me monthly.
Truly insult to injury.

Strict Policy, Poor Communication
I signed up for OT 2-week promotion in VDB Laval and was turned away from my second class for arriving 7 minutes late because of their strict 5-minute policy—a policy that had never been communicated to me!
I understand having rules, but if a policy is strict enough to turn someone away for being 2 minutes over the cutoff, it should be clearly communicated from the start. I was also told that not all coaches enforce the policy consistently, which makes it even more confusing for (new) clients.
Considering that “showing up” is often half the battle when starting a fitness journey, I would have appreciated a one-time warning or some flexibility rather than immediately being turned away. I was told this is mandated by head office, but surely consistent communication and enforcement should go along with that mandate.
Unfortunately, a pretty discouraging experience for only my 2nd class, and it has deterred me from signing up in the future.

Horrible fittness center and poor customer service. They have predatory practice lock you in and good luck canceling without paying fees. Stay away! I went to their center at irvine blvd in newport and they were horrible. I wish I had seen their reviews before signing up!

Said I wasn't signed up for a class, then charged me for missing it
I booked a free intro class online. Less than an hour before I had to be there, I got a text saying my reservation wasn't confirmed and I needed to call immediately or I'd be unable to take the class even if I showed up. I couldn't call in time, as I was on a different call, so per their own instructions, I didn't go.
That afternoon I was charged $30, a full drop-in rate, for a "no-show," despite never having a completed reservation and not being able to join class, according to their text. When I reached out to them asking for a refund, I got the same scripted response twice, from two different reps, without acknowledgment of the contradiction that I was paying for a class I was never signed up for. I also asked them to delete my credit card information from their system, and they didn't acknowledge or confirm it.
They charged me for missing a class they told me I couldn't attend, and can't be bothered to confirm my card info is even out of their system, which is concerning and raises real questions about how they operate their business.
I've since gone to F45 nearby, and the difference is night and day. They've been attentive, transparent, and genuinely great every step of the way. I'd suggest looking into them or other options nearby.

RIP OFF. Took more than $2000 from us without our consent
Can i give 0 star?
We used to take orange theory fitness and then we stopped.
We again visited after few months when we were back in houston and they started our membership again without our consent. Secondly the membership continued for 1 & 1/2 year without us knowing and they deducting $$ from credit card. Obviously we did not attend any class. When we were reconciling credit cards we found the charges and approached OTF, they treated us like a shit, like our manager will call you bla blah and after even visiting the location to address this they did not resolve and still billed us for next month too! we had to cancel the credit card. what a JOKE!!

I tried Orangetheory Fitness because of…
I tried Orangetheory Fitness because of their “first class free” promotion. After the class, the manager encouraged us to sign up for something called the “Quit Free Guarantee.”
After a month we completed 5 classes and realized the program wasn’t the right fit. When we tried to cancel, we discovered in the contract that you must complete 12 classes within one month before you’re allowed to quit.
This was never explained to us when we signed up. The phrase “Quit Free Guarantee” is displayed prominently, but the condition is buried in small print. My wife didn’t know this condition either and she stood next to me. So tell me this was clear?
Orangetheory workouts are very intense, and completing 12 classes in one month is a lot for most people if not impossible especially if you do other fitness activities.
Consumers should read the fine print very carefully before signing anything. FIGHT IT GUYS! Every review counts, and call you credit card company.

Zero compassion for paying members when…
Zero compassion for paying members when a class is missed due to an emergency. I missed my very first appointment on Nov. 24 because my home was hit by the Spring tornado. When I called the next day to explain, I was told there was "nothing they could do." No empathy, no flexibility-- it shows how little they value their members. I'm choosing to walk away and forfeit my initial fee rather than support a company that can't show basic compassion during a real crisis.
