1. First toothbrush (IO 6), loved it, brushing felt really good. Expensive heads but ok, now I can’t go back to something else. But… it died after 2,5 years. Could not get it back to life. 2. Second toothbrush (again IO 6), still loved it, broke down within 1 year. Unfixable damage (water I think). 3. My wifes toothbrush (IO 3), bought in January 2026, broke down within 6 months. Does not charge anymore. Very crappy quality and very expensive brush heads. Feels like they break down fast so they can get their recurring revenue. Looking for higher quality alternatives, because expensive, that it already was…

I’ve used an Oral-B rechargeable toothbrush for 8 years until it stopped working. I thought the next model up would be better…the IO range is so much more expensive in the long run, the replacement heads are very expensive. I think I’ll be reverting back to the simpler one and be able to get replacement heads in a 10 pack again

The IO toothbrushin itself works great, but sadly the magnetic charging base is AWFUL - mainly because the cord for which it plugs into the wall is too clunky, stiff and heavy and it makes the whole thing cumbersome and difficult to utilize as the toothbrush constantly gets knocked over when the heavy cord wont cooperate with where you want the base to sit. Its just bad design, the cord is too stiff and makes the base either not sit where you want it, or the cord itself just gets in the way of your reaching hands in the morning when you are barely awake. Its very frustrating in general. They should have made the cord a much smaller diameter wire with a usb c plug instead of a heavy duty 115v plug end, perhaps even with a locking retractable spool. Considering the EXTREMELY high cost for this toothbrush I wouldn't purchase this again OR RECOMMEND due to the charging base/cord design issues as it frustrates me almost daily. They put lots of thought into the device and 0 thought into the charging base, which is unfortunate. Ive also read a LOT of feedback online about the same thing, so im definitely not alone in this.

Ik kreeg een kapotte oral B toegestuurd. Tja kan gebeuren. Alleen het Retouneren heeft wat voeten in aarde. Hij inmiddels daar aangekomen dat kan ik zien bij PostNL maar hun geven aan nog niet ontvangen. Maar als ze hem ontvangen duut het nog twee weken voor je wat hoort. Je kan hem beter ergens anders bestellen dan bij oral B zelf die retour condities zijn een stuk beter.

Die App ist leider total unbrauchbar. Die Idee mit Zonenerkennung ist zwar super, funktioniert aber nicht wirklich. Es werden völlig andere Zonen angezeigt, als wo man gerade putzt oder garnichts. 100 % zu schaffen ist selbst nach 4 Minuten (was eigentlich schon zu lange ist) nur sehr selten möglich. Dadurch wird Motivation eher zu Frust.

Egal welches Modell: nach kürzerer oder etwas längerer Zeit versagt die Software und/oder der Akku. Schon bei 60% Ladekapazität kann es plötzlich zu einem Totalausfall kommen. Angebliche Hilfe über die App scheitert entweder an der nicht zustande kommenden Bluetooth- Verbindung oder man muss erst ein Konto haben und hierbei zahlreiche Daten von sich preisgeben.(Procter&Gamble:US-Datenschutz!!!)

Ich habe seit April 2021 eine Oral B IO 9 Zahnbürste. Seit einiger Zeit entlädt sich der Akku schlagartig, z.B. von 54% am Abend auf 0% am nächsten Morgen. Die Problemlösung auf der Oral B Seite hilft nicht weiter. Das schlechte ist, dass sich Oral B anscheinend den Kundenservice spart. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit Kontakt per Mail oder Webformular aufzunehmen. Möchte man das versuchen, muss man zunächst seine Zahnbürste registrieren, mein Kaufdatum wird aber als ungültig bewertet, vermutlich da außerhalb der Garantiezeit. Im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit bewerte ich das als ungenügend, dass ältere Produkte nicht unterstützt werden und noch nicht einmal eine Nachfrage dazu möglich ist.

Habe zwischenzeitlich 2 Online-Bestellungen bei Oral B vorgenommen. Bin davon ausgegangen, dass meine Bestellungen vom Firmensitz in Deutschland bearbeitet werden. Von Wegen, die Rechnung kommt aus England und dann werden jedesmalig noch 1,75% Auslandseinsatzentgelt fällig!
