Sent me about 7 broken vials of IV medication. Moldy, disgusting, and deadly if I had used them. Opium is refusing to credit me back for those vials (at $25 each) and has instead sent my case to a debt collector. They've admitted over the phone it's their error, but I guess it's easier for them to ruin my credit than fix their incompetence.

Worst medical company ever, we are not patients, just money. I hope I could give them a 0

As someone who works in the medical field, I cannot understand the lack of communication and borderline predatory practices by this company. Was originally informed I HAD to use Optum (by one of their reps) and sent me the medication. Turns out that was untrue and I had multiple other options that did not involve them being my supplier and nursing aide. Was sent the medication before any appointments were set up so I had my medication waiting in my fridge for an entire month before my services began. When I was contacted in regards to going to a separate clinic, I was told I belong to the Optum by a nurse and I shouldn’t go anywhere else for the services I needed. Appointments were not fitting my schedule and I was told I needed to have more leeway for them. During our intake I informed I only had weekend availability and they ensured staff would be available, but that was a lie as it took an entire month to pair me with someone who ended up not being able to fulfill my treatment plan as prescribed. They outsourced a third party for my treatment and even then I had to hunt down the appropriate staff to ask about my remaining treatment and IF they had the means to actually fulfill it. They were actively suggesting things that contradicted my treatment plan and would’ve put me in danger with my condition. I had one person take my complaints seriously and escalate me to the appropriate people who could handle my complaints. No surprise I still haven’t received a call back from patient advocacy or anyone regarding my complaint. STAY AWAY if you care about your treatment plan and safety. Or if you care about your piece of mind.

Several years ago, I was hit and knocked down by an SUV as I walked to my car…I was badly injured and am in constant pain. I have been out of my pain medication for over a week…I called Optum RX last week and was told that the medication had been out of stock, but they now had it available. I was told that they would expedite my prescription to me. Today (6 days after it was supposed to be expedited!!) I was notified that it would (FINALLY) be delivered to me tomorrow by FedEx (another awful company to deal with!). This medication requires an adult signature and I will not be home as I have an appointment with my pain management doctor. At this time, I have no idea as to when I will get my much-needed medication. I am so frustrated with this company….their lack of reliable communication is horrible!! Unfortunately I’m stuck with them because this is who United Healthcare utilizes! I DO NOT RECOMMEND OPTUMRX!!

Employers PLEASE DONT GET THIS FOR EMPLOYEES! It is the worst company to deal with!!!! The respresentives are clueless and it’s the worst nightmare trying to get re-approval after being on a med for more than six months and then having to go without! I hate this company!!!!!!!!!!

I am a senior on Medicare/Soc.Security. My doctor prescribed Trulicity for my diabetes. I called to make certain the drug was covered by my insurance. They verified it was a covered medication WITHOUT mentioning the co-pay would be $495.00 for a 56-day supply - not the normal 90-day supply. That is a huge chunk of my SS Check! While I was hospitalized, they debited my account for the $495.00 without notification and did not ship the drug. A week went by and no meds arrived, so I called to ask why remove money from my account without notice and did not ship any medicine either. They replied that they had my card# for another med so they went ahead and billed but they didn't have any Trulicity and may not have it for 30 days! In the meantime, I can go get a short-term script to go locally to a drugstore and pay MORE for it there. How do they get away with this? They should disclose the co-pay before they debit an account, give notice when they will debit, and be required to actually HAVE what they are billing you for. I think this is an end-of-year scam to grab and use my money.

Since I start a new job in June, my insurance changed. The new company wants me change to OptumRX. I have been trying to switch for 3 months now. Spent 45 minutes on the phone today about the issue. Was told they sent the last transfer request to Publix on November 27. Publix has not received it. I had previously called them on November 14. It took 13 days to make a request, although I'm not sure they actually did it. So frustrated. I'm caught in the middle of 2 entities and I'm the one who suffers. Terrible company to work with.

got notified today this company is now managing my drug prescription plan, (state of Fla.) They advise they will now limit a medication i’ve taken for 10+ years to 1 tab a day instead of 2. My options-ask my doctor to change prescription to their quantity-or-“If you fill prescription for more than (their) quantity limit, i’ll have a higher co-pay or pay full amount for “extra “ quantity. Even for a cynic, this is unbelievable. What gall! To replace my physician’s judgement for an algorithm conditioned to maximize these pirates’ bottom line.
