My Doctor sent prescriptions to Optum Rx and I didn’t get meds I called Oct 3,24 I’ve called three additional times to see where meds are and first they have a Prescription and today October 11, it disappears I need my meds and they were very nice on the phone but still no meds I have dates times and people I spoke to

Their prices for copay are 3 to 4 times higher than the same medication, same brand from Canada. And now, it seems that they are discontinuing many brand name meds in 2025 in order to adhere to the Medicare $2,000 limit per patient. And they change suppliers of the generics without notice or reason. It is well known to the FDA, that many generics change the amount of the active ingredient and the fillers used in these meds, all to save penny’s. I will now have 3 of my brand name heart meds unavaible from OptumRx in a few short months. This is disgraceful!!! And a scam to people on medicare.

This company is criminal for how they treat patients. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! They will deny all your medicine and block any attempt to contact them. Beware.

Getting an appointment is too difficult. The doctors rotate among several offices. Every time I call I am usually referred to another office for better service. And then it typically takes several months to make an appointment. And I typically spend too much time on hold waiting to speak to a person. My wife has the same experience. It is very frustrating.

Absolutely horrendous service. They never filled on time, and a few times just never delivered my prescription at all. Claimed that it was never claimed by me... I live and work from home where these mysterious "deliveries" were happening. I never received any phone calls from them, they just decided to refrain from delivering a very important medication. Anytime I called "customer service" I get someone who is incompetent and is definitely NOT local. I am put on hold about 4-6 times each phone call, and the call once "dropped" 3 times in one evening trying to resolve an issue with my prescription not being delivered. I wouldn't recommend OptumRx to my worst enemy.

+ON SEPTEMBER 23 MY WIFE CONTACTED OPTUMUMRX TO ORDER HER MEDICATION THE TOTAL IS $426 DOLLARS. I HER HUSBAND RICHARD ONEAL ALLOWED HER TO USE MT CAPITAL ONE DEBIT CARD. IN MY ACCOUNT I HAD $1024 DOLLARS CONFIRMATION #742496319 SHE HAD TO KEEP CORRECTING THE AGENT SEVERAL TIMES BE IT HER NAME HER ORDER ETC ETC. SO I TOLD MY WIFE TO BE SURE TO GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER. SO UPON THAT WE BOTH WENT TO DO SOME SHOPPING I PUT MY CARD INTO THE SELF CHECK OUT MACHINE AND IT KEPT COMING BACK DENIED IT DID IT SEVERAL TIMES STILL THE SAME THING. NOW MIND YOU THERE IS A LONG LINE OF CUSTOMERS AND OF COURSE THIS IS VERY EMBARRASING . I WENT TO THE ATM MACHINE IN THE STORE, STILL THE SAME SO I TOLD MY WIFE TO WAIT AT THE STORE WHILE WENT OUT AND SEARCHED FOR MY BANK BRANCH. AT THE BANK I WAS SHOWN A PRINT OUT THAT A DOUBLE ENTRY OF $426.00 WAS TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. WE CONTACTED OPTUM THAT WE WANTED THIS CORRECTED AND WE WERE TOLD THAT WE HAD TO WAIT 24 TO 48 HOURS FOR THIS OVERCHARGE TO BE RETURNED TO MY ACCOUNT. THIS WAS NEVER DONE. WE HAVE NO MONEY UNTIL THE FIRST OF EVERY MONTH UNTIL OUR RETIREMENTS ARRIVE. I GAVE THEM MY MONEY RIGHT AWAY THEY DID NOT WAIT 24 TO 48 HOURS FOR IT. I WANT LEGAL ACTION TAKEN FOR THEM TO BE A THEIF.

OptumRx is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! The pharmacy's this company partners with (CVS and Fransiscan outpatient) will not fill prescriptions in a timely manner and do not follow the doctors orders on the prescriptions. This company has caused numerous difficulties through the past 2 decades that I have dealt with them. Mail order prescriptions have been found on the side of the road beneath the mailbox, medications have been miscounted and some prescriptions missing entirely. I have called dozens of times for help in these matters, to no avail. Often I just go to the phamacy I choose to go to and pay out of pocket. One time, about 5 years ago, I was able to get an override to go to see the pharmacist I prefer. I recently requested to do this again, and was told that it is not possible to go anywhere other than the pharmacies that don't follow doctors orders, or cannot (it's actually, will not) take care of refills in a timely manner. This Company should be investigated for their unethical practices, false representation of benefits, and blatant fraud.

Type of Care Care Quality • Hospital & Rehab I give Optum ZERO stars. Optum has Zero care and concern for the patient, especially if the patient is a senior citizen. The treatment of my 85 year old mother is beyond despicable and the Dr's who answer to the insurance companies are just as bad. what happened to the oath they all take to "Do No Harm"????????? All I see regarding my mother is Harm with a capital "H."
