90-Day Refills are not accepted & have to become 100-Day Refills due to their lame Prescription filling Rules causing remaining Refill Issues later on down the road!
I just discovered and found out why so strangely my remaining Prescription Refills were dwindling down & vanishing so quickly from the past as well as now with Optum RX in their Computers? I just recently had a remaining (2) Prescription Refills from my Doctor on file with Optum RX. However, they just recently automatically filled & shipped a 100-Day Prescription Drug to me. When I received it, I right away noticed that on the Prescription Bottle received that it suddenly showed (0) Refills instead of (1) Refill still remaining? My Doctor has also been wondering on this & questioning me on it with neither one of us knowing or understanding what was happening or going on here with my remaining written Refills from her? I decided to dig into this & contacted Optum RX by Online Chat with previous Image proof & evidence of my remaining Refills being (2) & not just (1) Refill. When I questioned them on this & got down to the bottom of this reoccurring issue after 35 minutes of Chatting with them online, Optum RX responded with: Quote "If the Order is not being Processed yet, it will show 2 remaining Refills. However, since there was a Refill in late December 2024, there is one remaining Prescription left. Your Doctor only submitted & indicated that the Prescription is for a 90-Day supply of your Medication. The first Refill was used to dispense your Medication in late December 2024. That was for a 100-Day supply from us instead of a 90-Day supply. Therefore, we borrowed the remaining (1) Refill that you had left from your Doctor to complete a 100-Day supply. Thus, it will now show on your end that there is no remaining Refills left because we now only have an 80-Day Supply remaining for your Medication & not a complete 3-Month, 90-Day supply any longer. In the future, it’s best to have your Doctor write up your Prescription Medication up for a 100-Day supply with us instead of a 90-Day supply as for, we do not fill 90-Day supply Prescriptions but instead, make them 100-Day supply Medications for our Customers." Therefore, I have been losing out on many of my past remaining Prescription Refills with Optum RX because of these lame actions & decisions that they make on their end being, that they do not fill & ship out 90-Day supply of Prescriptions but instead, only a 100-Day supply of them instead. That causing many Customers like me to have (2) 90-Day remaining Refills only until after a Prescription Refill is filled by Optum RX which then, will suddenly show & become (0) remaining Refills in their Computers because they forcefully borrow an additional quantity of Ten of the Prescription Medication from the remaining (1) Refill to complete & make a 100-Day supply leaving behind a virtually still valid, 80-Day supply of our Medications that won't & does not show up as an available Refill because it's no longer a full 90-Day Supply. It's pretty darn lame & ridiculous how this all works & plays with Optum RX & their Prescription Filling Rules that they have set with only filling & dispensing 100-Day supply of Prescription Medications but not a 90-Day Three Month Supply! That’s clearly causing big remaining Refill issues & havoc's to People like me with our Prescription Medications as well as having to go back to our Doctor's much more frequently because our additional remaining 90-Day Refills in their Computers are vanishing much quicker than they should be due to Optum RX borrowing from them just to make & complete a 100-Day supply of Prescription Medication instead of simply dispensing & shipping out just the written 90-Day supply of the Medications without trying to only ship out a 100-Day Supply of them!
