Great Try-On and purchasing process!
I was looking for a pair of glasses to wear during hockey and was having trouble finding something suitable. A Reddit post pointed me to Optics Outfitters and I was a bit gunshy on ordering online without trying them on, but Optics Outfitters Try-On Box where they send you 4 glasses to try on at a time was a perfect way to get over my hesitation. I ordered 4 glasses, and they were sent really quickly to me. Ron messaged me to introduce himself and to help take care of any issues. The first thing that I had to ask was if I could keep the glasses a bit longer than the 5 day return period because I wanted to take the glasses to my rink and let me teammates try them on. He said that was no problem and would follow up with me the next day. Everyone at the rink loved the glasses but there were definitely some that fit better than others on my face. I told Ron that I didn't find anything that fit me great, but I did notice some commonalities. Some of the lenses were too close to my face, and some of the temples were too thick to fit in my helmet. These are all problems unique to my head, so don't take that as a general sizing issue. Ron listened to my feedback and said, hey, send back the Try-On set, and I'll send you another 4 that might address your needs. So we did that and I got a new 4 to try on. I took them to the rink again for people to try on and found a set that I liked. I told Ron I had found a winner, sent him my prescription and Pupillary Distance and he placed the order for me. The price was good, especially with the first time order discount code they had at the time. I placed the order on May 6, and got them May 30th. A bit of a longer turnaround time than I expected, but I mean, they're making glasses. Got them and tried them on and they fit great and I can see again. I don't know if I can hit the puck, but at least now I have one less excuse.
