I have just recently completed the upgrade of the OPPO UDP-203 using the USB TTL serial interface dongle. For the most part, everything went well, but I had discovered during troubleshooting that I was not getting a reliable ground connection between the OPPO player and TTL interface. Based on my experience, I achieved better results by using two 2 to 2.54mm pitch ribbon cables that have a dual female header connector on one end branching out to two single leads with single female connectors on each. As the OPPO player has a 4 pin male header, the two dual female connectors fit securely on the header. As you only require 3 leads for the upgrade, you just leave the extra lead hanging loose.

Works as expected. Be aware that Iso files can only Be read via a NAS with SMBv1, not above.

My search for an opportunity to play .iso files has finally come to an end. A highly experienced support and an awesome product. Would definitely recommend this upgrade!
