The update is great, but this is nothing for electronic beginners. Had to remove the audio board of my player, which was not easy. Service and reaction time are great.

Just completed the jail-break. Performance wise, thumbs up. This product could be improved however with a little clean up of the instructions, I do have to say that the response time to e-mails from my time zone, mountain time, was excellent. There are some points to watch for that whilst hinted at are not covered explicitly in either the manual or video. You may need to change the com port used by the usb/ttl converter. The supplied batch files appear to assume that com port 3 is being used by the converter. On my laptop, windows had already assigned com 3 port so the converter was assigned com port 5 automatically and although I changed the com port in the MKT software the process did not work, I had to change the assigned ports. A heads up, if you are not sure what the above point is or how to make the necessary changes in windows device manager then this may be something you should think carefully about before attempting the procedure. Only a FAT 32 formatted drive will work. Initially I grabbed a brand new high capacity high speed Rage thumb drive that was sitting on my bench,after my first attempt to break out of jail failed I found out it was formatted in ex-FAT, still a FAT format ,and it would not accept a FAT 32 format so I also found out that my Oppo 105-D would not read an ex-Fat format correctly.I found an older drive that would take a FAT 32 format and all was well. Follow the supplied manual and not the video, for the 105-D there were some differences.
