An amazing site that offers a lot of interesting books and reviews while also allowing avid readers to get paid to do what they love. I was also a winner in the daily prize giveaway. I'm so happy that I found this site and tried it.

8/28/2020: Initial Review edited as it is now, after two years, ruled 'defamatory'. Response to Scott's first reply dated 8/29/20: I think you're missing the point and that point is that you're supporting a platform that is trying to take over the world via unethical means. I refuse to be a part of that any longer. As I have messaged your moderators on the site, you have the means to contact me when onlinebookclub.org decides to make the change. Response to Scott's reply dated 8/31/2020: As stated above, "I wrote to the moderators that Amazon had taken over the publishing business and that I could not in good conscious support what the book club was doing. Thus, I wanted to close my account." Therefore, you do have my username and e-mail. Sorry that Amazon wouldn't publish your book, but when the biggest elephant in the room aka Amazon has taken over the world, even to the point of not publishing your book, you can certainly understand my reluctance to support them either. Response to Scott's reply dated 9/2/2020: Please see above. Response to Scott's reply dated 7/7/2022: Stop. See above. Thank you, but no thank you. Response to Scott's reply dated 8/16/2022: Your response indicates that you may have made some changes. Congratulations for taking my and other reviewers' comments to heart. It's about time. Lastly, I would appreciate you ceasing your near-monthly responses that keep getting erased so that no one can see the two years of harassment. Thanks.

Hi, Briala, I am begging you to understand that I do NOT support Amazon and never did. I did not make changes based on your review. I would happily make changes if I could to make OnlineBookClub be more like what you want it to be, but it already is. We don't support Amazon. We never have. We have always, like you, seen Amazon in a negative light, which is why long before you ever posted your review we have had many Books of the Day that aren't even available on Amazon at all, and we always have done our best to include non-Amazon links to buy books when possible. If there is more I can do to undermine Amazon and support its competitors (like us), please do let me know, and I will happily get that done for you. I don't know why you originally came to think we favor Amazon, but we do not and never did. Please understand that was always a misunderstanding. In any case, if there is anything more I can do at all to make OnlineBookClub better or help you or help Amazon's competitors, please do let me know. Either way, please do email me now at: [email protected]

This is an excellent site that rewards readers for doing exactly what they love doing. Passionate readers are able to discover new authors, read the latest books by brand-new authors, and provide quality reviews for these books. What is even better, readers/reviewers actually get paid for this work.

Not many platform provide the level of credibility that the OnlineBookClub exudes. Having been there for the last 5 months, I can say without mincing words that the best place to be for book lovers is the OnlineBookClub. Thanks for providing a legitimate avenue for readers to earn while doing what they love.
