They made a promotional offer ($3,000.) they later tried to rescind. I wouldn't allow it, so it seemed they tried to make it nearly impossible for me to close the loan. And if that accusation isn't true, then the liaison (Eric Bitanga) to underwriting was either poorly trained, incompetent, uncaring, or an idiot. I received multiple requests for the same documentation and my emails went unread. Finally, a day before closing I was told they couldn't close because my home had a lien against it. After receiving the lien document, I had to point out it clearly stated the lien was against an insurance company and specifically said it was not held against my wife and me. A high school student could interpret the document, which was in plain English. It's been a few months -- and I've chosen to forget many aspects of the frustrating experience. The reverse mortgage did go through, so I'm happy with the result. I'd also say I was never treated disrespectfully
