WARNING!!!! SCAMMERS!!!!!
WARNING!!!!! SCAMMERS!!! If it seems too good to be true it most likely is. Here’s the scam. There is a box on the screen that warns that the flights may be at nearby airports or flexible dates. Leads you believe that you need to be careful when booking that you are going to the correct airports on the correct days. This is pretty standard when shopping on travel sites. Here’s where they get you. You book a flight for way cheaper than anywhere else. (Should have known better). They send you a booking confirmation. Then tell you they are confirming the booking with the airline. Then comes the urgent email to call them. When you call they transfer you to a representative who explains that your flight was a promotion and is no longer available for the flight you booked. They give you 2 options. Option one is to go ahead with booking the flight you wanted at the full airline cost (hundreds of dollars more than what you booked) or you can wait to see what you have been “rebooked on”. Basically, they find a flight at some point for the cost they quoted you. Hours later. Here’s the kicker. When you booked you supposedly agreed to this scam. No cancellations no refunds. Say goodbye to your money. Our rebooked flight was a month later. They felt this was a reasonable time to be considered “flexible dates”. Customer service was outsourced outside of the US and there were language barriers. You could also tell they were very used to having the same conversation with customers regarding their experience and that they clearly didn’t have any intention of doing anything about it. Even had the rep bet me that I couldn’t dispute the charge with my credit card company. Absolutely absurd. Stay clear of this racket.
