The sandals that I wanted to have are a European brand but I couldn't find them anywhere here (in Europe), at least not in the colour that I wanted - but OMCgear had them! I was looking for women jacket or parka to make a birthday gift. Some uncommon conditions made my choice a bit narrow (especially because winter is over): it should be as lightweight as possible, but warm enough to withstand -25-30F. To make my quest even harder, it has to have a hood and be black or at least of some dark color (which is VERY unusual for winter women clothing - most of them are colored like parrot feathers). So, the only one I've found to meet all these conditions was Marmot Jena Hoody and the only place where I could find it at a reasonable price was OMCgear. Unfortunately, I got message that there was inventory error and this order could not be processed. I thought "bad luck", and (unwilling to dig through the whole Internet again) asked what can they offer instead. Wow, I was impressed. All my emails were answered in minutes, and in less than an hour my order was changed to another jacket that met all my needs (mountain hardwear hooded phantom, if someone's interested). And, to make the deal even sweeter, I've got 10% discount. Well, these guys (and girls?) at OMCgear show that every customer is very important for them not with hollow words, but with real deeds. And now I definitely know where to go when I'll need some outdoor gear again.

do your homework, then go on-line and find your need, email them for questions, and go for it......the beta is sound.....direct....and service is friendly excellence. also, once in the store....ask whether there are sales on other gear you have had on your mind

Ordered a harness, pair of carabiners and some cord. Shortly after placing my order, I received an email from Mike with OMC stating that the harness I have selected was in fact out of stock. Instead of cancelling the order, we were able to find a different harness ( more expensive than the one I had originally selected), and they were still willing to give me the other harness at the same price as the first.
