I ordered a part for my car
I ordered a part for my car, and the process seemed straightforward at first. However, it turned into a frustrating experience. I ordered a part specific to my car model—I know exactly what I drive. The part arrived fairly quickly, but the box seemed unusually large for what I had ordered. The next morning, I tried to install it and quickly realized it was too big. I double-checked my order to ensure I hadn't made a mistake. I hadn’t. I contacted the company, and they asked for my VIN and photos of the part they sent. The following day, I received an email stating that I had ordered the wrong part. But I knew I hadn’t. I reviewed my order again and discovered they had changed the product details on their website. Here’s what happened: the website initially listed the wrong product number for my vehicle. After I sent my photos and VIN, they corrected the product listing—and then claimed I had made the error. I work in tech, so I understand how these things work. What made it worse was their refusal to own up to their mistake. I would have been happy to exchange the part and even pay the $25 shipping fee to get the correct one if they had simply apologized. Instead, they blamed me and insisted I ordered the wrong part. When I asked for a refund, they said it would cost me $25 to return the item because, in their view, I made the error. The lack of accountability was a dealbreaker for me. Had they admitted the mistake, this could have been resolved amicably. If you decide to order from this company, take screenshots of everything. I, however, won’t be ordering from them again.
