Odyssey Visual MediaReviews of odysseyvisualmedia.com

Odyssey Visual Media and Calvin provided great VR experiences of the four major National Scenic Trails in the USA for Scouts to enjoy at the 2026 National Jamboree Outdoor Recreation Area in the Backpacking/Hiking program. They had an opportunity to learn about the trails at our booth. Thanks for providing the experiences.

We have had a wonderful experience with Odyssey Visual Media. Experimente Cultura is a nonprofit initiative in Brazil that brings cultural and immersive experiences to students from Rio de Janeiro’s public schools, and Odyssey’s 360° tours have become a very valuable part of our work. The quality of the tours is excellent. The images are detailed, immersive, and beautifully produced, and they create a real sense of being present in the places being explored. This has a strong impact on our students, especially when they are discovering cultural and historical sites that may otherwise feel very distant from their everyday lives. Our experience with Calvin and the Odyssey team has been just as positive. Their customer service is excellent, communication is always friendly and professional, and they are extremely responsive whenever we reach out. They have also been incredibly generous in supporting our nonprofit and our educational mission. Thanks to the content they have made available to us, we are able to offer meaningful VR experiences to public-school students and expand their access to culture in a very engaging way. We are very grateful for their support and highly recommend Odyssey Visual Media for the quality of their work, their responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for their clients and partners.

Working with Calvin and Odyssey Visual Media during the April 2024 solar eclipse was an outstanding experience. Calvin handled everything seamlessly on-site—from setting up shots in a dynamic outdoor environment to guiding the interview in a way that felt natural and engaging. He asked thoughtful, well-informed questions and kept the conversation flowing, which made it easy to speak both technically and personally about the event. What really stood out was how he translated that moment into the final product. The footage was beautifully composed, the editing was sharp and purposeful, and he did an excellent job capturing both the scientific significance of the eclipse and the emotional atmosphere surrounding it. It felt polished, intentional, and genuinely impactful. Calvin is highly professional, easy to work with, and clearly passionate about what he does. I would strongly recommend Odyssey Visual Media to anyone looking for high-quality, thoughtful visual storytelling. As an astrophysicist who studies billions and billions of stars, I give 5 out of 5 perfect stars!

I just received Odyssey Visual Media's photo book "Taiwan" by Calvin Nemec. It was out of print, but a hardcover copy was especially made for me - great service! The book is the only recent large volume photobook on Taiwan I know of, and offers a great impression of the country in its many aspects (city life and architecture, history, night markets, cuisine, nature and wildlife). Looking forward to the forthcoming second edition!

If you have a challenging video project, requiring resourcefulness in some of the most difficult shooting locations or even in what you thought would be a simple interview, Calvin Nemec has done extraordinary work with me. Always positive and pushing the project forward, I’ve worked with him through caves in Puerto Rico, live events in ESPN shoots and drone coverage over fog covered fields in Virginia, with outstanding footage being the end result. Our last project involved interviewing a 99 year old subject of a documentary, and he showed his ability to interact with everyone involved in a professional and compassionate manner, leaving the interviewee totally at ease.

I had an excellent experience with Odyssey Visual Media. Their 360° VR content is truly high-quality, with sharp visuals, beautiful colors, and a very impressive level of immersion. As a professional using virtual reality in a therapeutic setting, I especially appreciated: the smoothness of the videos, the stability of the shots, the sound quality, and the professional communication throughout our exchanges. Odyssey Visual Media delivers reliable, premium content perfectly suited for demanding use cases. I highly recommend them.

What a great experience working with this company. Amazing service. Odyssey does a great job at qualifying their clients needs and bringing their vision to life.

I've been working with Odyssey Visual Media for almost 10 years now, and they’ve truly become an extension of my team. Their work always reflects our vision and consistently impresses our clients. Over the years, we’ve partnered with them on work for M&T Bank, Delaware North, National Grid, Zippo, and more. And no matter the client or the scope (or budget), they always bring creativity, professionalism, and a great attitude to every shoot. They are very easy to work with and provide great ideas on how to improve the overall vision and goal. They’re reliable, easy to work with, streamlined our processes and always go the extra mile to make sure the final product is something we’re all proud of.
