We just returned from our Iceland trip, "Untamed Iceland" and WOW!! We would've never selected a trip to Iceland if friends of ours didn't recommend it. We're so glad a had a wonderful time, and we truly have to thank Loftur Eriksson for giving us the "Love-tour!" He connected us to the culture and people of Iceland like only a native who loves his country can. He not only shared the volcanoes, glaciers, ice caves, lava fields, fjords, geothermal spots, and majestic views that define Iceland, but more importantly he shared his personal story with us, which helped connect us to his beloved country. We can't wait for our next OAT trip!

We just returned from Eastern Balkan Experience (Bulgaria & Romania), our 4th OAT trip. Our TEL's Victor and Bogdan were so knowledgable and attentive. They always helped figure out our free time and would take us to places not on the schedule. Hearing their personal experiences during communism made it especially interesting. I am gluten free, and both of them went out of their way to make sure each meal was gluten free for me. The hotels were all much nicer than I was expecting and always in great locations. The personal experiences we have on each trip, make them so interesting and fun and very difficult to replicate with a big group. I'm glad we went to these two countries before they are fully on the tourist track, because they are definitely up and coming. We came home and already booked two more trips!

I just returned from a 16 day trip of Ancient Egypt and the Nile River with Overseas Adventure Travel. I have organized overseas trips for years and am familiar with many companies. In my opinion, OAT cannot be beat for quality, thoroughness, comfort, and value. Every single detail was taken care of for us. Our trip experience leader, Big Mo, has a Masters in Egyptology and never ceased in introducing us to the wonders of Egypt. At the same time he took an interest in each one of us individually and really got to know us personally, all while watching out for our wellbeing. This was my seventh trip with Grand Circle Travel/ OAT, and I look forward to further travels with them in the future.

I have taken two trips with OAT - Vietnam/Cambodia and Scotland. Both trips were fabulous! The tour leaders were knowledgeable, flexible, calm, good humored - outstanding in so many talents required by their job. The destinations, activities, hotels, food, etc. were excellent.

I recently returned from the Mekong River and Angkor Wat trip. What an amazing adventure! The itinerary was fantastic! The ship and crew and food aboard was wonderful. Most importantly, our guide Ethan was phenomenal. He was knowledgable and kind and made everything interesting. Honestly it could not have been better

This was a trip of a lifetime for me and I was a very reluctant traveler. I highly recommend the Southern Africa Discovery trip with the pre-trip to Entabeni Game Reserve with tour leader Dion Fabe. Thank you OAT and Dion for sharing your love and generosity with our small, but mighty group of 16 travelers. The itinerary was perfect. Dion was an awesome leader who invited locals, along the way, to share with us a little bit of their daily lives. All with a smile on their faces. In 24 days we saw beautiful animals, beautiful scenery and all with a flawless itinerary that ran so smoothly I didn’t have to think about anything other than what time to get up in the morning. I will definitely travel again with OAT.

We see the good, the bad and the ugly, which makes OAT trips the best! And our trip leader was a walking, talking, encyclopedia! So patient and kind! We loved our trip!!

My experience with Overseas Adventure Travel was absolutely awesome. We visited Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia/Herzegovina and Slovenia. Our trip leader/director was exceptional. Lili (Ljiljana) Cubra never let us down. She was on 24/7 for 17 days which I'm sure periodally was exhausting even with a pretty on time, coordinated group of 16. We started in Dubrovnik and Lili met us at the hotel to do a short walk in neighborhood. Our local guides were so knowledgeable and engaging. Martina in Dubrovnik. Vera gave us an hour talk on her experience living in Dubrovnik during the 1991-1994 war. So so interesting. Going into Kotor Montenegro, Steven, our guide did a wonderful talk on that city and as a local was so informative. What I really loved was being guests in locals home for dinner. Dario at his Starimlin Tavern dinner and olive oil production outside Dubrovnik was divide and entertaining. In Sarajevo our dinner with locals will be ingraded in my head forever. The most profound take away from my trip was a talk from a war veteran Mr. Zeljko in Sarajevo. He was amazing and brought me to tears with his experiences over 35 years ago, which felt like yesterday to me and which has had everlasting effects on his while life. There is so much positive to comment on during the 17 days with Lili. Her home village was quite a wonderful experience and meeting her family. Lili at some points had a lot to deal with short illnesses in the group and the coordination the changes, forced her make. She is a wonderful person and with her experience and empathy she should be nominated for OAT group leader of the year! I don't have any constructive ideas to make the trip better because it was the best already. I always have some little changes that I can add to make a trip better/ different but not this time!
