I really like my Nuphy Gem80 but this keyboard has been the buggiest nightmare and for the premium price that I paid for it, I should not be experiencing bugs. Many people have an issue where the windows key simply stops working and is stuck on Winlock and you have to reset your layout in via to fix it. Updating the firmware on this keyboard is also such a ridiculously arduous and confusing process. I won't buy another Nuphy product when there are so many other custom keyboard brands doing it better.

Hi there, My Nuphy keyboard came with defects. I have the Node100 low-profile and quiet keys keyboard. The keys ~ and 3 (on the numberpad) don't work well at all. I tap, and it never works; I press longer and it enters it a million times. It's completely unusable. I've tried my best to reset the caps, but it's something with the mechanism, not the cap placement. Additionally, the keyboard sometimes freezes and gets stuck on a single letter. Not a major deal, but when I look up from my keyboard (no judgement, lol), I've noticed the last 15 seconds were wasted. Overall, I had a cheap amazon keyboard for over 2 years, which l replaced for this Nuphy keyboard. But something tells me within the next two years, I'll be repurchasing that cheap one to replace the Nuphy. Shame, because it looks good and sounds great.

First, this keyboard arrived weeks later than promised on their website. Next, the keycaps on the Halo keyboard are poorly designed and therefore very difficult to type on. You'd think if keyboards are what they "do," that they could get that one thing right. But apparently, that's not the case. And after seeing all the variety of problems people have been having on TrustPilot, I am mad at myself for not checking them out a little more. This was an expensive keyboard. I feel like I'm paying for front-row seats and getting a back-row performance. The sad thing is, a different style of keycaps is probably all that is needed to fix this problem. They make other keycaps, but advised that I would need to purchase them. I'm really not in the mood to fork over more money to this company, since I have yet to have a positive experience. They should provide the keycaps for free to fix their faulty product. They might just be buying back their keyboard from me.

While the keyboard itself seems promising, the customer support process has been unnecessarily frustrating. I contacted NuPhy about a faulty caps key and was directed to firmware instructions that contradicted information on their own website. When I pointed this out, they casually admitted the version in their Google Drive was newer—even though the official site still listed an outdated version as the "latest." Instead of updating their documentation or acknowledging the confusion, I was just told to keep following unclear steps and send screenshots and videos. The lack of clear, consistent communication and dismissive responses turned a simple fix into a drawn-out hassle. Disappointed with the experience overall.

I had a super frustrating experience and wouldn't purchase from Nuphy again in the future. I received a faulty keyboard, the backspace button was dodgy and eventually stopped working all together just a week after receiving the keyboard. It was over a month of back and forth with customer support - they made me do all of these software updates, install apps on my phone, download all these programs and it just felt weird and like something I shouldn't have to be doing myself. Then it turned out they sent me the WRONG files and I had to do it all over again. Communication was so bad I was constantly repeating myself. FINALLY they agreed to send me a new keyboard base since it clearly wasn't a software problem. So the story does have a happy ending I guess (hence the 2 stars) but considering I paid over $200 for the keyboard, I was pissed off that I even had to go through all of that.
