NRG Transportation Inc DO NOT USE…
NRG Transportation Inc DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR AUTO
Had to have my hospitalized son’s auto move across PA. Reached out to many brokers to move the auto. After a ton of work, phone calls, etc. I selected the company above in part to quote being in the mid range and the agent’s understanding. Once I selected NRG, I signed the contract for the price of $200. The date was chosen between myself and the agent, as we had many chores to complete in the town here the car was located. All further work hinged upon the pickup of the car. We were given the time and driver’s name to meet at the location. The day of the scheduled pickup we left many hours early to be sure we would not inconvenience the truck driver to hand over the keys. After arriving across the state, from that point forward we only dealt with a supervisor at NRG, who explained that he was stepping in to take charge, as the original agent, was new and being trained. We were informed that the contract had been given to another outfit. That dispatcher called and gave us the new driver’s name and phone number to touch base and the pick up time of the car was changed to 2 hours later. We rolled with it. I was given an incorrect phone number for the 2nd driver and reached out to NRG to get the driver's correct phone number. I was also informed by a supervisor at NRG that the price was now $350. Almost double. But we were already close to the location of the car, had signed the contract and had very little choice to begin again from scratch. Next thing the supervisor called and said we would now have a different driver and to call them for pick up time. This last driver was very professional and polite. I was told from the beginning that NRG would charge my credit card once the car was being moved. I explained many times that I do not use any cash apps, do not know how to and could only pay by check or credit card. This was done prior to me signing the contract and repeated many times throughout this day from HELL. Car was loaded at 3:30 PM and we thought it was over. That night in the hotel, we get an email message from the agent, who said their machine to charge the credit cards was not working and therefore, we had to Zelle the money to the driver. I said again that was impossible. His supervisor then called and told me to call family and friends in order to find someone that could use Zelle to pay. I contacted the driver, told him the truth about everything, and he called his boss (owner of the company that had the car on board). Very nice man, but said he could NOT deliver the car until he was paid. He called the NRG supervisor, verified that my story was correct, and told NRG to resolve it since they had the contract. The only solution offered by NRG was to pause the transport along the turnpike overnight, and in the morning, they could try to run my credit card again. By this time I was in tears, as my son is in the hospital. I called the supervisor and begged him to resolve this, as I had no idea where my son’s car would end up. He said his hands were tied and he was not the owner of the company. I begged him to call the owner. He refused. He was very rude and unprofessional. I told him they had a signed contract and I would get the money to them as soon as I returned home the following day. I can not express enough what a nightmare working with the company was from this supervisor all the way up to the owner, who finally reached out to me almost one week later and did nothing to address this occurrence. I was finally able to contact an out of state relative, got him out of bed, and begged him to use Zelle if able so that our car would not continue to be held hostage. NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO BUSINESS with NRG TRANSPORTATION. UPDATE after the company responded. Now they are trying to bribe me with $50 to remove all online reviews. NOT HAPPENING

We are deeply sorry for the distress and inconvenience you experienced, and especially regret that this happened during such a difficult time for your family. Please accept our heartfelt apologies. The last thing anyone should have to deal with while caring for a hospitalized loved one is the kind of frustration, miscommunication, and emotional toll you described.
Your situation does not reflect the level of professionalism and care we aim to provide. From the breakdown in clear communication, to the changes in pricing, and the unacceptable payment issues — this is not how we want to do business. We completely understand how upsetting it was to feel caught between companies and unclear expectations, especially when time and trust were of the essence.
We are currently reviewing the entire chain of events internally to understand exactly what went wrong and how we can prevent this from ever happening again. Your experience is being taken seriously at every level of our team.
While we know this response can’t undo the stress you endured, we would like the opportunity to make amends. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] so we can properly address this with you, including discussing possible compensation or reimbursement. We owe you that much — and more.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and giving us the chance to do better.
Sincerely,
The NRG Transportation Team

Why can't I give zero stars???
Why can't I give zero stars???? This company gave me a bid to ship my car from Florida to Ohio. When I sent emails regarding shipping if they responded in was very broken English. They told me several times that the driver was scheduled and would be there. One half hour before they were supposed to pick up my car. They sent an email stating the driver's axle was leaking oil and it was in the shop. They didn't know how long it would be in the shop. I told them I paid for someone in Florida to release the car to them. They seem to have no concern over this. Finally he told me he found another driver but the price would increase. 65%. Sound fishy? It does to me too! I would avoid this company at all cost. Yeah

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and we want to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this caused — especially after you went out of your way to arrange for someone in Florida to assist with the pickup.
The situation you described is not acceptable and does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide. Sudden vehicle issues with a driver are unfortunately out of our control at times, but we understand that doesn't excuse the disruption to your plans, the poor communication, or the unexpected price increase. That’s not how we want to do business, and you deserved better.
We're taking your feedback seriously and are actively reviewing what went wrong so we can address it with our team. In the meantime, we would like to make this right. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] so we can discuss your case and see how we can compensate you for the trouble this caused.
Your trust is important to us, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can improve.
Sincerely,
The NRG Transportation Team

SCAMMER
Tom Kane the "manager" of the company gives you a lowball quote, has you sign a contract, and then the morning of the pick up, calls and says the driver will be there in an hour. He then calls you back and quotes you $200 more than what your contract says. When you say, no that was not what was agreed upon, he keeps calling and harassing you, then tries to go down to $150- still not the agreed upon price. He claimed he could not find a driver for the agreed upon contract amount when the contract was done over a month prior.

Scam
Scam. These other reviews have to be fake. Just like their very professional-looking website.
They offer a very low bid by text to transport your vehicle and tell you "no upfront cost." Then, once you have given them all of your information, they say there is a deposit of $150 and "Zelle is okay right. [Sic]" Of course not; cash through Zelle is gone. When you say "no way," they create a professional looking invoice stating for you to sign stating you agree to not do a credit card charge back for ANY reason. The morning of your pickup, the driver has quote "mechanical issues" and "cannot pick up your car until next week." Now they have your all of your information, including your VIN.
Call them. Their foreign call center is another tip off. Also, their business name is NRG this week. Will it change next week?

Beware of the company!!!! Shady!!!
They will hand over your shipment to a third-party mover without any prior notice. My experience with them was infuriating. Initially, they sent me a link to pay the reservation deposit, and I paid with my credit card which was fine. But on the delivery day, they demanded cash payment directly to the driver. When I asked for a payment link, just like they did before, they flat-out refused. They never mentioned this cash payment requirement until the very last moment. This was completely unplanned and a highly dubious act, utterly condemnable! They even threatened to take my car to storage if I didn't pay cash immediately. If I had known about this shady practice, I would have never used their services.

Be very careful dealing with Hyper Auto Transport
Had contract to ship car from NY to MD for $350. The car was to be picked up on 7/10/24. The seller took the day off from work. As of noon no one showed up or called. I called Tom Harris from Hyper to see what was going on. He said he was still trying and would get back to me. About an hour later he sent me a message saying he could get someone to pick it up, but it would now be $650. I told him that was not the price, but he said he could continue to try, but could not promise that day for a pick up. I said he had one hour and then I was going to find someone else. An hour went by and heard nothing to I started to make phone calls. I found a carrier who could pick it up the same day. The new carrier called the seller and told them they would be there within 3 hours. They did arrive and picked up the car. Just be very careful dealing with Hyper Auto Transport. I feel they are a scam.
