The Worst Experience Ever……
This was the worst experience ever trying to purchase insurance. I have been driving over 30+ years. I got a quote for the insurance, I agreed to the amount, and purchased. Simple right? No evidently after paying for the insurance, the company wanted the declaration page from my previous insurance which I sent. Next day they wanted another declaration page from months earlier which I sent. I even sent the insurance cards from the day I purchased the vehicle 1 year ago with the same company. Today, I got a email stating they need a letter of experience from previous insurance carrier. I am over this company. If it starts like this, I can just imagine going forward. I just asked for a refund because this is a headache already and I don’t even drive my car because of health reasons but it needs insurance because it’s financed.

Hi Shanella,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
We're sorry for the back and forth – that’s not the smooth start we aim for with any policyholder. While our underwriting team may request proof of prior insurance (like a declarations page or Letter of Experience) to finalize your policy application, you should receive clear and consistent guidance from our team.
We are currently reviewing your account and the communication timeline to understand what happened and how we can actively improve our review process moving forward. Since you've chosen to cancel, we'll be sure to process any unused premium accordingly. Please reach out to our team directly at 866-862-7757 if you need anything further.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve. We hope you'll consider Novo if your needs change in the future.

I was looking for a more affordable…
I was looking for a more affordable full coverage for both my car and husband's car first quote I got was less than $100 cool so when I went to add comp & collision it went up to $147 which is $30 more than what I was paying with GEICO seriously supposed to be cheaper. Not cheaper at all. When there is a loan on a vehicle you have to have comp & collision, need to recheck your prices

Hi Betty,
Thanks for sharing your onboarding experience.
Providing great coverage at affordable prices is what we aim for here at Novo, and we're sorry to hear that things didn't quite meet your expectations right away.
When adding Comprehensive and Collision coverages, your monthly premium can change based on the deductible levels you've selected at the time of your application. Generally, a lower deductible can offer extra peace of mind in case of an accident, but it does raise your monthly cost, while a higher deductible can lower that cost.
We’d be happy to review your policy and make sure you’re getting the best balance of coverage, protection, and price that fits your needs. If you’d like a personalized review or want to explore additional savings, our Customer Support team is always here to help!
Thank you again for your feedback. We value your input and look forward to earning your trust.

Misleading, Poor, Bad, Ugly, un-American Service
Understanding Insurance in Arizona is so very important. This company is providing 'what is written' here online and in their policy documents.
What they leave out is that vehicles in their policy may not 'qualify' for comprehensive or even partial comprehensive for vehicles older than 15 years. Not to mention how poor the customer service is trained and managed. Wow, what a waste of money - thanks for the MVD report; how dare you ask for money thinking you were not fired in writing! June 6 purchased 6-month policy for just the car (not my truck), upon reading the delivered policy documents and declining further involvement with this company after the weekend June 13 - I followed their procedure to refund my premium since I would not be accepting this policy nor signing anything else. June 29, 2025 this company declared that I was unable to refund, nor continue coverage for my truck. Not to mention they don't offer comp on paid off vehicles! What happened here? SMH the AZ Dept of Insurance is aware of the many tax-payers who are being ripped off by this company. STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE/MONEY!

Hello Charles,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how important it is to include Collision and Comprehensive coverage, especially for customers wishing to protect their vehicle from physical damage.
I can confirm that our policies do limit these coverages for vehicles older than 15 years. This guideline is a part of Novo's underwriting guidelines, and it is determined by risk factors and other industry standards. While this is disclosed in our policy documents and quote process, we understand it can still be disappointing if your vehicle, regardless of mileage or condition, cannot be covered as you hoped. We sincerely apologize if this was not clear sooner and for any frustration this has caused.
Regarding your cancellation and refund, our records show that your premium was fully refunded on June 28th. If you have not seen the credit on your end, we recommend checking with your payment provider. We're sorry for any confusion caused by the communications you received during this process. To avoid further frustration, we have removed your email address from our contact list as requested.
We appreciate your feedback. We are continuously reviewing how we communicate policy eligibility and process cancellations so experiences like yours do not happen again. If there are any issues that remain unresolved, we encourage you to refer to our previous communication sent on 6/24/25, which addresses your concerns directly.
Thanks again for your comments and for bringing this to our attention.

After providing accurate information…
After providing accurate information the quote I received was $135.20. so, I went ahead and paid the first installment (down payment) of $217.78 expecting a decrease to the original quote of $135.20. that was not the case my insurance is totaled at $220.18 with no reimbursement for the 7 days I had the insurance.
You guys need to stick to the quote given before customers pay the down payment. Especially knowing you can't refund that
amount back. I will be cancelling after 30 days and finding a better insurer that doesn't play with other people money.

Hi Cleo,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must be to receive a different rate than what was initially quoted.
We strive to provide accurate quotes, but sometimes, changes can occur during the underwriting process. Especially if some items are discovered during the review like a lapse in past insurance coverage.
We'd love the opportunity to address your concerns. We want to ensure you have a clear understanding of your rate and any adjustments that may have been made. Feel free to reach out to our support team directly by phone at 866-862-7757 so we can walk through your policy details and provide more clarity.

Don't use or give information
Don't use or give information. Before using, I very rarely got scam/telemarketer calls. Now, I get at least 3 to 4 a day since requesting a quote from Novo Insurance.
Response from Novo InsuranceJun 23, 2025
Hi Xavier,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We take your concerns seriously and want to assure you that Novo does not use or partner with any third-party agencies to make sales or marketing calls. We’ve reviewed our system and, unfortunately, we weren’t able to locate a quote request or contact history under your name.
We’ve sent a request for more information so we can investigate this further, but haven’t heard back. If you’re open to it, we’d appreciate the opportunity to learn more and see how we can help provide a better experience to our future customers. Please email [email protected] to contact our team directly. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Fredrika,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. It looks like your rate was adjusted during our standard verification process after some of the originally applied discounts could not be confirmed. We know these kinds of changes can be disappointing, and we're happy to chat through the details with you. Feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email, we're here to help!
