The Publix I went into while changing my life for the greater good of everything on earth reminded me of the time I went to buy my own home made from scratch brown rice flower and vermiculite, the glass jars, the huge syringe needle, temperature and humidity digital meter, etcetera etcetera. Then I went home and ordered an "everything except the spores" package and it looks like it's going to kick ass. I can't wait to find out!!!

I don’t think they adequately prepare you for how long the mushroom colony will take to establish, so at first I thought I was scammed when I did everything right late last summer / early fall and nothing grew. But this spring, there is a bumper crop of winecap mushrooms popping up! So many, they’ve been going crazy behind the shed where I seeded them and I didn’t even think to look.
