One star for now. The programming only works if you have 2 previously programmed keys. Most ppl order a second key because they only have 1. 2 are required for diy programming. Without a second programmed key the fob ordered doesn't work and won't work, even tho it's been cut to match. I emailed them for the next step and so far no phone number to call. These reviews weren't available when I purchased. Only saw them once the purchase was made. I'll update with more details if they figure out what to do.

BUYER BEWARE! Do not purchase from this company because they DO NOT stand by their return policy. I purchased a key fob in July to replace one that I lost. Before the fob was even delivered I found the missing key fob. I immediately emailed the company to request a refund since I no longer needed the fob I ordered. When I did not get a response I emailed a second time. I even tried calling them only to get a message saying to email them about returns. It is now October and I have yet to hear from this merchant. I tried to dispute this with my credit card company. Upon completion of the investigation I was told I would be responsible for the charge because NorthCoast Keyless told them the item had been delivered. That was not the reason for the dispute. I now have an unopened key fob that I will never use sitting in a drawer. All I wanted was to return the fob for a full refund. That isn't possible when the company doesn't respond. Very disappointing!

North Coast Keyless sent me a key for a 2016 Kia Rio that was missing the transponder. So while the locksmith was able to program it to open the doors and trunk, I had to buy a transponder for another $60. This is an independent chip, sitting inside the fob, without which the key won't start the vehicle, even if it is cut properly, and the buttons can open the vehicle.

This is a terrible company. I have emailed them about my concern of a key fob that I ordered on June 4. I received it on June 9. I left for going out of the country internationally on June 8 I was gone for a little of a month so about the time I got back there was no room for returning anything and receiving my money because it was past 30 days and I have emailed them twice. They have not responded when I got the key fob. My husband took it out of the package and he went to open it to see if he needed to put a battery in it and the metal piece fell out so we’re stuck with a key fob that’s supposed to be brand new that we don’t feel comfortable keeping which we would’ve settled for an exchange a brand new exchange however they have not answered one email that I’ve sent them so please do not spend your money with North Coast Keys. They are about nothing but taking your money.

They shipped the wrong item and wouldn't ship the correct item until I shipped the wrong item back and they received it. Who wants to wait another week for them to clean up their mess?!? Slow responses and bad service.

Don't trust them. Keys won't work and are likely registered to another vehicle.

I ordered, as was later confirmed by NCK, a "used OEM replacement key" for my 2022 Toyota 4Runner and submitted the correct VIN so that NCK could properly match the replacement key to my car. Three different key programming services/locksmiths - including an"automotive locksmith" - tried and failed to get the key to work. The full-service locksmith put the key into a scanner and pointed out that it has an aftermarket board in it. I questioned NCK about this. The emphatic reply was that they do not deal in aftermarket electronics. I then sent a photograph taken at the ;locksmith's office which would suggest otherwise. No reply. The automotive locksmith (last in line to try) stated that the board inside the OEM shell I received is either the wrong one for my car, or it is defective. Before arriving at this point, I had allowed more time than NCK's allowable exchange period to elapse, and I was told the key is ineligible for return. I replied that since I had yet to receive what I ordered (a used key that is OEM on the outside and OEM on the inside) the true refund/exchange period had yet to begin. No reply. Now, in spite of the decades of combined experience among the three different services I engaged, it is true that none of them use the specific hardware/software NCK stated is required to program my key. Perhaps one day I will try to find one that does, but for now what I have is: a seemingly unusable key that is an aftermarket board inside and OEM shell ... not what I ordered, and a company unwilling either to discuss why or offer me an exchange. So, I encourage you to reflect upon the apparent character of the organization and wish you best of luck if you choose to do business with NCK

Ordered key,didn't work, returned for refund almost two months ago and haven't received refund! I wouldn't order from this company ever again! They are not a reputable company! I should have read reviews before ordering, it would of saved me lots of aggravation!
