Make sure you know that your remote start is not needed
There are a couple of things that they were not upfront about the product and service. One, they do not offer weekend installs maybe Saturday but i was told it was 2 to 3 months out and they dont offer Sundays. Two, I was not told that you would not have the remote start function if the product was in use. I had called customer service to complain about the issue i had about not being told upfront about the remote start. The lady/customer service said to me the installer didn't tell you. I said no and was not happy about that. She said basically that there is nothing they can do about that. She said I can talk to the owner if I would like? I said yes and she said he is not in right now and that she would leave him a message. I never received a phone call. I really believe she did not even give him the message. I dont think i would have had the product installed that day if I would have know upfront. I also gave the installer a large tip. Is it worth the $800? Not totally sure. A response to there response. They stated its all over there website. This is not true, at least at the time I was reviewing and debating to purchase the item. And again, the installer didn't explain that upfront. I had explained that after the install to a lady at the company. She said she would call me back and when she did she did confirm that it was not stated on website but just said yes your remote start will not work. That is all she could say to me other than supposedly giving my number to the owner to have him call me back, which never happened.

Stephen, you are correct about the remote start. If the plug is not in the engine will not start. This is all over our website and it's the only thing we do. We are very clear that the engine will not start, even with the original key! The natural extension of that is features which allow the vehicle to start will not work either. Whether it's a remote start, an app, the key, jump-starting, push starting, etc. The engine will not start. Here's the challenge: Technology is what allows the vehicle to remote start. If you put in a technology based anti-theft device, you're vulnerable to that device eventually being hacked. The most technologically advanced devices in our lives are all vulnerable to hacking, which is why we continually need updates. Once a hack is available, your vehicle would be vulnerable until your device was updated. That problem does not exist with the Ravelco. The Ravelco is the vehicle equivalent to disconnecting your computer from the internet. The only workaround that truly works is reconnecting the wires. And thieves don't have time to do that. I can assure you, the first time someone tries to steal your car and they can't drive off with it, you will be very happy you got the Ravelco. And THANK YOU for your input on making Saturdays available. We are starting to open up more Saturdays so our customers don't have to do the installation during the week! God bless you and I pray your car is never targeted by thieves!
