Purchased this insurance for my 6 year old dog. He injured his back and there was pus and blood. So I took him to the ER to get the wound cleaned and treated. Nibbles views this as a "pre-existing condition" and denied my claim. He had a subdermal lipoma that oozed out because of the injury. So much for injury protection. I wonder if you needed to get the insurance before the dog is born for them to cover anything.

They do not process in a timely manner. Then request last 18 months or records once you file a claim, then once you provide those they want ALL records from day one. Only processed part of my claim after repeated emails . Do not use this company they will give you a run around and not pay. Do not recommend

They denied my dogs claim for a straight forward emergency procedure. I sent in countless invoices and vet records. This company is a sham. They just use the “free pet insurance” so people will sign up for their credit card. Be wary

Customer service kept telling me they accept electronic payment when they don’t (can’t be sent out from your back). Canceled this card and waited for a week before they confirmed my cancellation. My refund is still pending, 2 weeks after this account has been closed, and today was informed that it will take up to 30 days. After closing my account mid April, I have to wait until June 1st to see if they have deposited money they owe me into my bank account. This card and pet insurance company is absurd and a waste of time and money.

You suck worst insurance l ever used and l will tell everyone not to get it

I had a very disappointing experience with Odie/Nibbles pet insurance. My dog’s recent claim for acute bacterial diarrhea was denied as a “pre-existing condition,” even though her only prior history was anal sacculitis. After waiting for almost 2 months on my pending claim... The denial letter cites past records of anal gland issues (anal sac discharge, scooting, gland expression) and attempts to reframe them as “bloody diarrhea issues.” These are medically distinct conditions. Anal gland disease is not the same as gastrointestinal illness, and no prior GI condition was documented. Their own policy states that a pre-existing condition must involve prior signs or symptoms consistent with the claimed condition. That standard was not met here. Instead, unrelated symptoms were grouped together to justify denial. If you’re considering this insurer, be aware that claims may be denied based on broad or questionable interpretations of your pet’s medical history.

The insurance sounds great until you actually try to use it. The customer service is abysmal. I spent hours trying to understand their requirements for documents they didn't bother mentioning would be needed when I signed up and tracking down information that was never my responsibility to acquire in the first place. They asked for my dogs medical records on his vet visit in such a confusing way that needed clarification. A phone number was not available and the email customer service first told me it wasn't an issue and then ignored my follow-up. It wasn't until my claim was denied that i got the phone number of the actual insurer and was told they needed those medical records. My vet however, told me that those records can only be requested by the insurer and I never should have been involved in that information request. If hiding requirements in the fine print and giving me the runaround when I needed help are the way this business runs I have to recommend all pet owners avoid it. Update: Any solution offered for the above issue was quickly forgotten, they are happy to make promises to get you off the phone but will not follow through with them. Even after promising me a solution to the medical history requirement my claims were regularly randomly denied due to missing medical history. Any appeals made were outright ignored, denied again with nothing more than the original denial letter for explanation. Getting these people to pay out anything of the insurance they claim to provide is painfully difficult even by other insurances' standards.

I have submitted claims over 30 days ago and cannot get an update on it. According to their website, it keeps showing as pending. I've already submitted all the required documentation dating back to the time when I adopted my dog.I have no idea why it's taking so long.But what really appreciate them giving me an update and approving my claim as appropriate.
