Rented a dumpster through Next Day Dumpsters for construction debris. Price was decent but that's pretty much it. First, they came and picked up our dumpster about a week early out of the blue, with no notice. They did replace it, however, when our contract was up they didn't come to pick it up. When I called the first time to ask them why no one had come to pick it up, the customer service person told me the renter has to call to schedule pick up, it won't just automatically be done and that we would be charged for the extra days we had it. I told her no one ever told me that nor was it in the contract that was sent to me via email. She said they wouldn't charge me "this time" for the extra days. It still took several more days for them to pick it up so I had to call again and ask when they would do so. Overall, pretty big hassle and lots of phone calls.

We have used Next Day Dumpsters before without any problems. However, this time around when removing the dumpster there was damage done to the driveway even though precautions were taken to lay plywood down to protect it. We have made numerous calls about damage done to the driveway and have not gotten much of a response in the way of remedying the situation.

This is our second experience using next day dumpsters, our first experience was seamless so it was an easy decision to choose them again. My husband handled the booking and everything seemed fine, delivery went well. I had a question about how pickup was scheduled, so he called and was informed that although it was a 7 day rental it was only an additional $8 per day if we needed it longer. He was also told pickup does not occur until we call to request one, which lined up exactly with our first experience. Day 7 rolls around and I get a knock on the door, it was the dumpster people coming to pick up the dumpster. Imagine our surprise when we had just been told pickup wouldn't happen without us calling first. Luckily my vehicle was blocking their path, otherwise our mostly empty dumpster would have been picked up without us even knowing. The driver was understanding and went on his way. A short while later I receive a call informing me that we were going to be billed an additional $150 dollars for a non pickup. I calmly explained that wasn't happening since we never called for a pickup, her response was something to the effect of; well I have our previous conversation recorded I'm going to pull it up and get to the bottom of this. She called back and told us she was right and we had to pay the fee, we asked her about our 2nd conversation which was with a different rep. she said she didn't know anything about that and would have to pour though thousands of phone calls to find it, which sounded fishy. She called back the next day and admitted she had found the 2nd conversation which confirmed what we had said. Instead of an apology she proceeded to tell us they weren't going to make any money on this transaction, and wouldn't promise we wouldn't be billed for the non pickup. We asked for a return call to confirm we wouldn't be billed we never received this call. My husband had to call 2 additional times to get this confirmation. When we called for pickup it was seamless. We did not get billed for non pickup. Will not be using next day dumpsters again because of their inability to have consistent customer service.

When they removed the dumpster I found they had left large divots in my driveway that I would like repaired.

They drove by my house to pick up on a Saturday at 7:30am. My truck was blocking it so they drove away and billed me some $150 fee. I wish they had rung the doorbell. It is a simple consideration that would have made me feel like a customer rather than a mark. I gave them 2 stars rather than 1 because after I protested over the phone, they removed the fee. I do appreciate that.

I've rented dumpsters 4 times and they charge extra every time!! There's no way that I could be overweight all 4 times.

Charge a lot; then don't pick up a dumpster until someone calls, then charge for extra days and if it snowed your paying for snow weight too; never again.
