Palmera Club in Hylton Head SC representatives told us they would sell two other timeshare properties which would pay for their property. They told us they would sell them in no longer than four months. They were listed with VSI. As months went by and they were not sold I contacted Palmera several times. Most often I did not receive a call back from anyone of authority other times I was told my concerns would be forwarded to someone in management. One person told me we had signed a contract and I had no recourse. VSI rep. explained these timeshares would never be sold because most people used VRBO and other online vacation rentals.We lost thousands of dollars living up to our "bargain". WE WERE LIED TO

First, I will say that our timeshare was paid off and our maintenance fees were paid up. Second, Every time I called the Newton Group Transfers someone got back to me. It took close to a year but I have received the notice that the resort's representatives have agreed to transfer the timeshare back to the resort and I finally have the document to prove it. Be patient! It takes time for the people to negotiate. The resort originally wanted almost a thousand dollars from me to transfer the deed. This was in addition to the money I had already paid for Newton's services. I was not prepared to pay that much extra and within a few months it was finally settled at about one third of the original amount they had been asking for. It took just about a year to resolve from signing up with Newton.

When I heard of the Newton Group I was of apprehensive. I had spent the last 15 years and probably in excess of 10,000 trying to unload my timeshare. While I really enjoyed the timeshare in my younger years, the monthly maintenance was beginning to become a problem as I headed toward retirement. When the Newton Group contacted me, the first thing I thought of was “here we go again.” I was now retired and decided to try one more time to get out of the timeshare. I found out I couldn’t leave my shares to the Timeshare company so my nephews would probably be responsible for the maintenance. So I decided to take a chance, and it was the best financial decision I made in the last 20 years. When the Newton Group started to work on the project I continued to pay the maintenance fee. I had been burned before, I stopped pay the fee; thinking I no longer owned the timeshare. Suddenly I owed nine months of back maintenance fees. Anyway, some months later they asked me to stop paying the maintenance fees, so I did. I also refused to talk to the Timeshare company; I ignored their phone calls. The Newton Group would call and give me updates or if I was wondering what was happening I could just call and they actually updated me. Suddenly the sky opened and the sunlight shone through (I live in Arizona the sun always shines), but anyway the Newton Group called and said it was over. At first I couldn’t believe it, however they sent me a paper signed by the Timeshare releasing me of any obligation and stating that they were buying back my shares. This feeling of relief is wonderful, if you really want to get rid of your timeshare these are the people to call. Thank you, The Newton Group.

This was a very positive experience. We have been trying to get rid of our timeshare for years. Spent thousands of dollars on other companies with no luck. Newton group was not only able to get rid of it, we did not have to pay any additional money to the timeshare. Best decision we ever made to go through Newton Group.

We could not believe how easy it was to leave our timeshare. We should have done this years before had we have known about Newton Group. All of the people we had contact with were very knowledgeable and patient and above all very kind. Anyone needing to leave their timeshares should not hesitate to contact them. The Newton Group performed all tasks related to the exit of our timeshare in the time-frame that was advertised (6-9 months on average....ours was about 8 months) and at no additional costs (other that notary and mailing services which was expected). Our associate was very diligent about keeping in contact with us throughout the process. We couldn't be more pleased with the Newton Group and the end result.
