The mobile version is lame and capped
The mobile version is so limited that I regret buying it. After creating the heatmap, I realized that all the interesting data is only available on the desktop version. Why is that? To force me to buy another license for a computer? If I could, I’d request a refund. I feel scammed. Almost 30 bucks wasted.

We assume this is about NetSpot for iOS. It is indeed quite different on iPhones and iPads, and that's exactly what the app description, screenshots, sample projects and pre-upgrade explanatory screens in the app itself, as well as all the features in the free edition on the Apple App Store explain. The same is true about the dedicated post in our Help section on our website with NetSpot editions on desktops and mobile platforms comparison. It is very important to read the app description before placing an order. Note that NetSpot is capable of creating WiFi heatmaps of your wireless networks even on iOS. The types of heatmaps are quite different from those on desktops because the operating system does not provide the necessary system-level tools to app developers unless they use specialized (pricey!) external hardware. So, your rating here feels quite unfair assuming we, as an app developer, have to maneuver in a completely different environment, which we are very open about upfront. We still went further than most other apps on the App Store by offering a convenient way to visualize your WiFi coverage through speed-based heatmaps, calculated with the same algorithms used in our full-blown desktop products. Also keep in mind that speed analysis reflects the actual traffic conditions of your network rather than the theoretical maximums advertised by your access points that are rarely achievable in real-world environments.
