On March 27, I ordered a Chaste tree, shrub form, for a very sentimental reason. My son’s 11th birthday is coming up, he recently passed away and I wanted to plant something special on his birthday with some of his ashes. I scheduled delivery for April 28th so that the plant wouldn’t have to sit in the pot for a whole month. First off the image representing the plant to purchase is extremely misleading. The image shows a nice looking 15” dark green leafy plant, what I got was far from that. It is extremely small, hardly any foliage. And what little foliage on it is also really small and a pale green color. Also they delivered the plant much earlier than my scheduled delivery date so now it has to stay in the pot for a month waiting for my son’s birthday. The plant did arrive alive so I’m not giving the worst review. Just poor representation of the product. I would not have spent $50 if I had seen the truth.

They advertise free shipping on orders $199 and above. My order was over $200 but I did not get free shipping. The 2 trees ordered were received on a Thursday and planted on Friday. That was 10 days ago and the trees lost all of their leaves. Reminds me of poor Charlie Brown. I haven't contacted customer service yet, but by the looks of other responses, that may be useless.

Product and customer service were top notch, however, the amount of spam and solicitation I have received via both email and text message since purchasing were horrendous, and even now continue to be unacceptable after clicking “Unsubscribe” a number of times.

I received my Blue Mist Bush rather quickly. I planted it right away. It has been a couple of moths already. It seems to be struggling a little, but might be okay. I will see next year. Hopefully it will survive and bloom as pretty as my other bush I had from before.

I ordered 2 plants of same variety. One arrived with brown tipped leaves and by end of season was struggling. Planted other adjacent and did fine, so can't be soil, sun or water.

I was very pleased with the plant I received. However, my Credit Card was almost assuredly hacked through this website. Update your website security!! The reason I am fairly certain this site was the origin was because I use this card for next to nothing, yet about 1 month after making a purchase from Nature Hills I has a $3,000 fraudulent charge show up on my card. I had made no other purchases on the card in that two month period (except for Nature Hills). To be clear I don't think Nature Hills was responsible, but I think this website needs to increase it's security so that clients don't have their information ripped.

Update: On the ninth business day, I received a response with an apology for the delay. I’ve been given an in-store credit. I will probably not order another tree, but something with which I’m more familiar. I’ve changed my rating to three stars, and I’m willing to re-evaluate Nature Hills after my next transaction. ********************************************************************* I ordered a small tree last October. It arrived well packaged with instructions explaining the tree was dormant and how to plant it for the winter. As spring approached, I kept my eye on it, waiting to see what it would do. By May, it wasn’t showing any signs of life. I contacted Nature Hills to express my concern about the tree. I received an auto reply stating they would be in touch soon. After five business days of no further response, I called the number from the invoice, but reached only a recording directing me to file a claim via their online customer support. The BBB has posted nearly 80 complaints in the past year from customers who have been unable to contact Nature Hills about a problem they had experienced. I would warn any potential customer to read their terms and conditions very carefully before placing an order with them. They do not stand by their products. They will not refund your money and you will have to pay 50% for any replacement, if they agree to do that (or bother to respond to you at all). You may have to return the product to them at your expense. I wasted $80 on a tree I will never enjoy and I will never give another dollar to Nature Hills Nursery. I hope this review keeps someone else from sending their hard-earned money to this business.

I purchased two 3-gallon hydrangeas for roughly $78 a piece. When they arrived, the plants were a nice size and you could tell that, prior to shipping, they had been in good shape. Unfortunately, they were jostled around during their journey, soil had spilled everywhere, and they were very thirsty. Since planting, one has established nicely and is putting on a lot of new growth, but the other still looks as stressed as the day it arrived and I'm hoping it survives its first winter. All in all, I don't regret my experience, but I'm not sure I'd do it again.
