Shipping heat can really take a toll, and that appears to be what affected your order along with a few hitchhiker crickets, which are common in nursery soil and not harmful to the plants themselves. Your Cardinal Flowers and climbing rose have solid stems and roots, which is a great sign for recovery. Give them water, some shade for a few days, and a little time to settle in. All plants are covered under our Growing and Glowing Guarantee for 45 days from delivery. If anything doesn't pull through, please reach back out and we will make it right. Young native plants grown in nursery pots can look slightly different than mature garden specimens or website product photos, especially after spending a few days traveling in a dark shipping box. Rest assured, as the plant settles into outdoor sunlight, its leaf stems will tighten, the foliage will flatten, and its distinct silver-veined pattern will deepen.
