I was quoted at $2400 for my home, oregon to vermont. We paid the. Deposit and they were scheduled for friday the 11th. They blew up mine and my husbands jobs while we were at work and left a message saying we had to talk before monday to verify or it would be cancelled. I could not reach them. I finally left an email for the original salesman/broker, i now know that's all they were, and finally heard back from someone on monday afternoon. I dropped a bunch of stuff off and they lowered the quote and also said they would contact me before Wednesday to verify the friday arrival time. Thursday early afternoon i left an email asking if they were still closed ming and they called back telling me theyd be there in 30 minutes, Excuse Me! They showed up an hour and a half later and we werent ready, cause they were a day early. I had dropped off a treadmill, washer and dryer, two beds, half the boxes, a couch, plus a pool and uet the movers come back in the house and tell me that the new total is $7500 instead of the $2400. So over half the stuff is off and you no longer have to box or teardown anything but the price is $5100.00 more. Where i got really concerned was when the movers started asking, “well what can you afford? How much can you pay?”. That felt really off and i wasnt comfortable with any of what was going on and when i talked to their office team, the woman started yelling at me. Talking about how i wasnt ready, they were a day early with absolutely no notice first of all and all the things she was talking about having to pack or deal with, werent going, they were getting left behind. Avoid this company at all costs. This company is a scam, after they left i went onto the BBB website and found complaint after complaint of the exact same thing happening AND i found that in 2022 the owner was convicted in federal court of this exact same scam. The difference is that most people that go through them wind up stuck where i was willing to do the move myself. It was still stressful and i had already given notice and i had to get the car into a mechanic and come up with a trailer but i would not let someone force me to give them more than agreed on plus, we didnt have $5100 more.

These people freaking suck. Impossible to get a moving date and time. The guy on the phone promised me they’d show up on a specific day and then they no show. Complete disaster. Never ever use these people.

Nationwide Moving Solutions acted as the broker for my move from Arizona to Washington. They quoted me for 1,118 cu ft, but on moving day, the carrier they arranged (American Home Movers) inflated the volume to 1,900 cu ft—a nearly 70% increase—with no measurement, no markings, and no proof. I immediately contacted Paula at Nationwide to dispute the charge and was told they would follow up. They never did, in fact I had to initiate all contact to get any information or updates for the following 2 weeks. Nationwide claims in their contract that they “act on behalf of the customer in resolving disputes.” This is false. Despite my repeated calls and emails, they did nothing to intervene or advocate for me when the mover refused to verify cubic footage or remeasure. I ultimately paid $10,104.14, a 64% overcharge beyond my estimate, in violation of federal FMCSA rules (which cap overages on non-binding estimates at 110%). Nationwide failed to protect me as a consumer and instead enabled predatory, dishonest behavior. I’ve filed complaints with the FMCSA, BBB, FTC, CSI, and state Attorneys General. If you are considering Nationwide as a broker, do not trust them—they will not help you when it matters most.

They sent out a mover to quote me 3x what our move agreement was for. They did not make themselves available during this dispute, which resulted in my items not being picked up. This led to them missing the my move deadline which forced me to move the items myself. They did not provide a reimbursement of my 10% down payment for their failure to find an appropriate mover.

This company took a family members money, My cousin is very slow. She is so sweet! Her mom was in a nursing home at the time. So she was alone. A problem occurred and she could not move. She asked for her money back, and they absolutely would not give her money back. I called them from Florida and explained to him that she does not understand the contract! He was nasty and said she will not get her money back! We were so nice in asking and explaining. Do not use them ever. They steal from mentally challenged people without a drop of guilt!

Though I did not end up hiring Nationwide Moving Services, I can tell you there was a lot of deception as far as being a broker rather than a carrier. I was told managers ride with drivers to train them in proper handling of household goods which seems impossible for a broker that sells the move to one of many companies. I educated myself immediately after initial phone call and item inventory was taken. I initially put a down payment and was able to get 90% back. The cancelling process was tedious but I did it within the allowed time frame which is 72 hours. I recommend looking up FMCSA fraud guidelines and information about moving brokers and fraud before making a decision. You will pay more using a carrier. But in my opinion, it’s worth having my items handled by actual movers who have their own trucks and drivers.

BAIT & SWITCH!! If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. Our stuff was picked up on New Year’s Eve and here we are 10 days later with NO DELIVERY YET. We call and call and call. Leaving texts & messages with no reply. Brody gave me such a sales pitch!!! NO FOLLOW THROUGH!!! I got a call 2 days prior to pick up telling me our pick up is canceled. The day before pick up I get a call from Paula telling me they’re calling to confirm my pick up. I lost my mind!!! I had already called and made other arrangements ($1400 CASH DEPOSIT) Paula tells me it’s a man in Ft Lauderdale, right down the road from them posing as a legitimate moving company and she’s afraid if we use them our belongings might not be safe. We stayed with Nationwide and were told our delivery would be Jan 3, 2025. Here we are on the 9th without our belongings!!!! I’M FRUSTRATED to say the least JUST SAY NO!! Don’t walk away… RUN Run As fast as you possibly can. For your sanity For your comfort For the sake of a legitimate situation.
