We understand your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. At the time of booking, the yacht offered both USVI and BVI pickup options, and the contract was finalized with a BVI pickup and drop-off, which we believed aligned with your preference. Since then, the yacht has discontinued USVI pickups altogether. Even if your contract had originally included a USVI pickup, the yacht’s special conditions allow for port adjustments to be an all BVI charter, meaning the embarkation would still be shifted to the BVI. Between the USVI and BVI, the BVI is widely considered the better cruising area. We understand this may require some adjustments to your travel plans, but there are convenient solutions. If you have already booked flights to St. Thomas, we recommend taking one of the frequent ferries to the BVI, which is a quick and scenic one-hour trip. Alternatively, if you haven't finalized flights yet, flying directly into the BVI may be the easiest option. Ultimately, starting and ending in the BVI maximizes your charter time and avoids customs clearance delays from clearing the vessel in and out of borders. Your charter is still a year away, and if anything changes regarding USVI pickups, you will be the first to know.
