The worst customer service ever received. I recently ordered a pet portrait from Petsies. I asked beforehand if it was possible to have the dog and their human in one picture and they said yes without further explanation. I ordered and only received the illustrated portrait of the dog and not the human. I contacted them again and they said to do it again and gave me further instructions, this time to only not do it right but even worse. The portrait received was not even in their illustration form but a pixelated picture that I, myself could have done at home. Spent over 300$ for a very disappointing product and service. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

We are very sorry you feel this way Laura. Our team has already explained that you did not select an extra head when you originally placed your order with us. This is the reason that your original order only had the pet’s head and not the human’s head. Our team members were incredibly generous and offered you a partial refund outside our policy to place another order the way you wanted it to originally be placed. We do see that you have reached out to our team through our customer service portal and we look forward to discussing with you what options we have available to us at this time.

Waited a couple of months just to get a stuffed animal that didn't look anything like my dog. My wife videoed me opening the box with two friends. You don't want to see it. Everyone, mostly myself was in utter disbelief. I was able to get my money back and they never kept their promise to send a pillow with my dog on it to make up for their mistake. I just wanted what I paid for and got scammed. Time wasted and at least after 3 month they refunded my money. But in all that time wasted!

We are very sorry that you were unhappy with the plush you received. We did offer you some solutions to make it right, such as minor adjustments through our Alteration Specialist. We were unable to provide a remake of the plush as it was already at the smallest size we have available. Because you were so unhappy, we did allow you to return the plush for a refund outside of our policy at that time. We are just now seeing that you responded to us about the complimentary pillow and our system did not alert us, we apologize about that. We would be happy to move forward with this pillow for you asap and one of our team members will be reaching out to you regarding this as soon as possible.

Would not recommend
Our Shih Tzu passed away so I ordered a Petsie as a way to remember him. They emailed me asking for more photos than the original 4 requested on the order form and I sent 10-15 additional photos. They got the colours right but the face looks like a really rough Shih Tzu. I at least expected it to look like a Shih Tzu, the rest would have been bonus but they greatly failed at capturing a Shih Tzu face. A correction is $75USD which I will not be paying on top of the $200USD+ so this is going in the live and learn bucket.

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money to get a product over $250 to be disappointed. My box arrived damaged and the plush was not wrapped. I had a proof and the image from a distance looked ok and when it arrived i cried. Not crying about the resemblance but cried how sloopy and choppy the checks were. Hard to tell when the face is white in that part. They have poor customer service and said that I should have asked for a close up shot and we don’t do refunds. That plush has been sitting in the box since I received it. HUGE disappointment and would not recommend them.

Hi Lucy,
I’m sorry you were disappointed with your Petsie. When the boxes leave our HQ, I can assure you they’re all in great condition. We unfortunately don’t have control over where the postal service stores the boxes, or if they put heavier boxes on top of the Petsies ones. Thankfully, the plushies are soft and can handle a bit of pressure!
Looking into your order, I see that you got a sneak peek upgrade and since you saw photos of the plush and approved it, we aren’t able to provide a refund. However, we do have a “plush hospital” where you can send your plushie back to us and we can make minor alterations for you.
If you can please continue emailing our team to let us know exactly what is bothering you about the face and cheeks, our designers will likely be able to fix it for you.

Don't waist your money
They definitely should not be charging $200 for what they send out! I had to send my petsie back in for repairs adding another $30 to the cost. My cat had a very thin long nose and what they originally sent was a normal size cat nose. There response was they did give it a longer than normal nose but I can send it back and the can take some stuffing out. Once they were done they sent a picture saying that was all they could do. I'm very disappointed and will never use petsies again.

Hi Beth,
I am so sorry and also surprised to read this review. After you received your Petsie, you did reach out to our team about the snout. We are able to make alterations to Petsies in our ‘plush hospital’, so we offered this option to you and you agreed to send the plush back for one of our designers to touch it up for you.
Once she made the changes, we sent you photos of the Petsie which you saw and approved before it was sent back out to you. Had you still not been happy with the Petsie, we wish you would’ve let our team know when you received the photos, and we would’ve been happy to make additional changes for you.
Please email our team back if you have any additional questions or concerns about your Petsie.

This was so upsetting very disappointed and want my refund back! I waited 2 months to be charged 80 for a small magnet with basically 2 cotton balls glued to it. Super crappy never again!!!!!!!

Hi there,
I am so sorry you aren't happy with your Petsies Magnet and that you don't think it's a good representation of your dog.
I do see that you've been in contact with our Customer Service team, and we are happy to offer you either a free Photo Blanket or Pillow to make this right for you. Both of these products would have your pet's image printed directly onto them, so we hope one of those would be a keepsake you are happy with.
Please continue talking to Kaylee from our team so we can get you a Blanket ordered as soon as possible.

Customer service could not have been…
Customer service could not have been worse. I paid nearly $400 upfront for a custom stuffed animal of a recently-deceased pet and submitted half a dozen photos, carefully curated to show all the pertinent details and angles of the animal.
I would have paid more but for a coupon, which I believe is the critical aspect to the remainder of the interaction: since I suspect many others also utilized the coupon in anticipation of a holiday-season gift, the company was trying to find ways to spread out their production timelines.
In my case, they sent an email asking for a picture of the animal's back feet (he had spinal issues and usually wore boots). As I was traveling at the time, I did not realize the question until I received a reminder email a week later. Of course, the company had all of my contact information, so if it had been a truly pressing situation, they could have called me much sooner.
I immediately responded with a photo as requested and asked whether they had continued work on the project in the interim since the particulars of the back paws were hardly showstopping, especially since I had already been asked to and selected many of the relevant aspects (hair length and color, toe-pad color, etc.).
They responded that the 6-week delivery expectations they had advertised were never guaranteed, but -- more importantly -- refused to commit to maintaining the original schedule, no matter what it had been. This went on back and forth for several days until they unexpectedly, unilaterally and without my approval abruptly announced they were cancelling the order and refunding my money. (Of course, they did not offer to compensate me for the poor experience or my wasted time and loss of the use of my funds during that period, but whatever...)
I would note that they didn't even provide a receipt to track the saga until I requested one days later when the refund didn't seem to match the original expense.
When you ask $400 for a stuffed animal, you have to differentiate yourself on customer service... and this company did not. In the end, I'm glad to have discovered these issues early in the process rather than later when my only recourse would have been to accept whatever excuses they wanted to provide.
EDIT: to respond to the below:
"Our goal is always to reply quickly and to do our best to make your ordering experience a good one from start to finish."
-- if this were so, they could (and should) have called me.
"For your order, we had some questions about which photo you wanted us to reference for your dog’s smile, and we also needed to see the back paws as they were covered in the original photos. While we waited to hear back, unfortunately the creation time will likely increase as we were not able to move forward."
-- this is the first time anything related to the pet's "smile" was mentioned, so that's news to me. And again, you didn't have to wait - you could have proactively contacted me through any other means at your disposal.
Since you weren’t happy with that process, we went ahead and cancelled your order and then fully refunded the price of your Petsie.
-- again, what I was unhappy with was your inability to commit to your original timeline due to delays you caused. I'll note that nowhere in here do you refute my suspicion that you concocted this delay purposefully to smooth out your production schedule.
"I am sorry we weren’t able to make a Petsie for you this time, but we would love to be able to make a custom stuffed animal you in the future!"
-- I question the veracity of this statement given the speed with which you decided to cancel my original order.

Hi Rory,
I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our customer service team. Our goal is always to reply quickly and to do our best to make your ordering experience a good one from start to finish.
Since our products are all custom, we do often-times have to reach out to customers and request more photos or different angles of the pet in order to move forward with production.
For your order, we had some questions about which photo you wanted us to reference for your dog’s smile, and we also needed to see the back paws as they were covered in the original photos. While we waited to hear back, unfortunately the creation time will likely increase as we were not able to move forward.
Once we heard back from you after 6 days, our team did their best to explain our production process to you as well as our turnaround times. We would never want you to be mislead or unhappy with the process we follow to make our custom stuffed animals. Since you weren’t happy with that process, we went ahead and cancelled your order and then fully refunded the price of your Petsie.
I am sorry we weren’t able to make a Petsie for you this time, but we would love to be able to make a custom stuffed animal you in the future!

Whatever you do don't buy one from…
Whatever you do don't buy one from these people. My dog passed away recently and I was excited to have something sweet that looked like her and they totally butchered her. It looks absolutely nothing like her! I want my money and they refuse to make it right. I have no faith that they could do it right a second. Totally ripped me off!

We are very sorry you feel this way. Our team has been speaking to you through our customer service portal about your unhappiness with your plush. You indicated you felt that the plush was too large. Because you chose our largest 24 inch size, our team offered you the ability to remake the plush at the smaller 16 inch size for a discounted cost. You indicated to our team that you were not happy with the coloring, but were not specific. Our team has been attempting to understand what specific areas of concern you have with the coloring so that we can advise what other options we may have available to better meet your expectations. We encourage you to work with our customer service team so that we can come to a resolution.
