The pads do not absorb well at all. It is the one job they have and they don't do it. Lots of stains/leaks. I tried LOLA because I bought into the cotton advantage and sustainability angle but a big reason why women use the products they have been using for so long is because we have tried and tested the leak-proof aspect over the years - LOLA should first focus on doing the primary job of the product well, keep women dry and stress-free from leaks. Packaging, marketing frills etc should come later.

Wanted to love this product - very excited that it is organic / chemicals free. Unfortunately these tampons did not work for me. Because of their design (a roll of cotton like a roll of toilet paper) they don't seem to expand properly and don't absorb well, causing leakages and requiring more frequent change than previous brand used. The plastic applicator appears very cheaply made and is flimsy / uncomfortable to use. Not for me.

I have the lightest period ever, it only lasts a few days and never fills a regular tampon. These don't seem to absorb anything. It is like a plug that doesn't work well. Am I doing something wrong ;)

I am always looking for products that are better for my body. After 3 months of using Lola, I have cancelled my subscription. My monthly subscription consisted of 4 light, 7 regular, and 7 super. I found that I had to use panty liners more frequently because they aren't nearly as absorbent as the other brands I have used in the past.

I had read about these tampons on Jezebel, your first two boxes are $9. I was like sweet $9 for 36 tampons. I put in a regular one and within 20 minutes I was leaking. These do not absorb fully. I also had the applicator fall apart on me multiple times. Annoying. I only used three and gave up after that. I gave the rest to my friend thinking they would work for her. And what do ya know they didn't. She had the same issues.

I love the idea of these! It makes me feel better that the tampons are 100% cotton with no chemicals. I just wish they worked better. The string starts to absorb before the tampon is even full. Unfortunately, I have to change these tampons much more frequently than normal tampons to avoid leaks.

I gave this company two stars because it was quite easy to use and the customer support was helpful. They also actually sent you emails to remind you to make modifications to your order. However, those tampons are absolutely useless. I tried really hard to like them I really wanted to but I had so many leaks. I switched back to my old brand this month to make sure that it was actually the product and not me and it definitely was the product. I wouldn't waste my money on this unless you have an extremely light period or you are allergic to other products.

I was super excited to receive these and even somehow excited to get my period so I could try them! But, the second day of using them I had changed my tampon 4 times before the day was even over. I don't have a heavy flow, just pretty normal, and was using the supers. I wore a liner just in case and I'm glad I did because I leaked every time I changed it. I am sooo sad because I've wanted a natural tampon for SO long, and have used the soft cups but wasn't overly happy with them either. Please Lola, make your product work better so I can love these!
