I really want to like LOLA. I love their packaging, their flawless customer service, the shipping convenience factor, and the lack of additives. I try to support small, woman-owned businesses whenever I can, and I think these women rock. Sadly, the tampons suck. --The compact applicators frequently don't work properly, meaning I have had to shove a half-inserted tampon the rest of the way in. --The strings are not braided, and so every single tampon leaks- even on extra light days. --The tampons themselves seem to be really poorly made. I am writing this review moments after removing a LOLA tampon that literally unwound and then ripped apart as I pulled it out. I just had to reach into my "canal" and pull out leftover tufts of "soiled" cotton. Never, in more than a decade of wearing tampons, has that happened to me- not even with OB tampons. (Please note that TrustPilot made me change the words that are now in quotes.) I want to keep wanting LOLA, but what's the sense in buying bad tampons? LOLA leaders, please fix your product!!

I wish these tampons were better made. The cost is great and so is the convenience but just to give an example, I used a super and went straight to the gym and 10 minutes into my workout I had leaked onto my pants. That should never happen that quickly.

I think the service is great, very fast, convenient and easy to use but the product itself wasn't what I thought it would be. It was great that it was all cotton because that was what I was used to using, but I'd notice cotton fibers coming off on the applicator which didn't happen with any of the other cotton products I'd used before. It also didn't absorb that well, so I had leaks when it was barely full. Even more concerning was that it started to come apart when I pulled it out which had also never happened with the other cotton tampons I've used. I don't want to worry about pieces of tampon being left behind because of it having the tendency to fall apart. It's a great service for women that is really needed, but I hope they improve on the tampon design.
