Locked out after x number of tries at a password, which must include letters, numbers, special characters that only dogs can hear, etc. Warnings given with absolutely no source. Inconvenient at best, a real hassle to try to use.

Notifications are now a complete joke. They have identified your email and password in a leak. IF "suspected site" is not available (it NEVER is), then you should change *all* your passwords associated with that email address. I am now getting these 3 times a month. You can't be serious. They never identify the source site of the breach *ever*. There services has now become actively harmful and a waste of everyone's time. They never let you view the password that is allegedly available - if you could, you would know *exactly* where they got it from as long as you use unique passwords. Their service is a complete waste. May they go out of business quickly and stop wasting everyone's time.

Can't even login to my account. All it does is take me to a 'create account' page but I already have an account. So I try to create a new account and all I get is an error. The "contact us" web link takes me to the same 'create account' page. Apparently they can't even run their own website so why should I trust them with my credit information? A complete waste of time.

Still unable to complete my registration after trying multiple times per year(!!!) and getting emails saying I'm able to register but yet I never am able to complete the registration so I can log in again the next time!!!!

I was given free lifetime monitoring by this service by the federal government after my personal information was compromised (along with millions of others') in 2015. I enrolled without much thought. More than five years later, I've realized how useless it is. It doesn't catch any problems, but sends me constant "updates" and "alerts" that can frequently be impossible to read because the code for two-step authorization will never arrive. I gave up on feeling it might be useful long ago. Then, a few weeks ago, I was alerted to fraudulent activity by person(s) using my identity to apply for almost 30 loans. The thing is, MyIDCare wasn't the one to alert me--I got a letter from TransUnion. At no time in the YEAR these criminals were applying for loan after loan and wrecking my credit did MyIDCare detect any problems or communicate anything to me. Wow, I'm so impressed, right?? An organization recommended by the U.S. government and named "My ID Care" did NOTHING to protect me after my information was sold on the dark web. Good job, MyIDCare!!! Needless to say, I would recommend that you don't bother with this "service."
