I would like the documents in the program to be subject to editing. It is a several step process to edit something that was sent to us on a contract. We have to download to computer, then convert a PDF to Word, then amend. Would be much easier to have ability to amend right on MY Case.

Bottom line: Great program that's worth the price! It's short on some features, but they continually improve it so it will only get better with time. I recommend it over everything else I have found. The Good: Great layout and it has the core tool any attorney needs. Easy to navigate, keeps track of client money, and nicely organizes calendars, documents, and messages. Customer service is fantastic! Someone is always immediately available, very nice, and they have a lot of patience when helping me with problems. The calendar syncs nicely with my google calendars (a non-negotiable requirement in my book). The Bad: Still missing some features such as being able to import a conflict list for attorneys joining the firm. Most of all, the mobile app is extremely basic and unreliable. I have better success using the normal web page on my mobile phone, which still has problems, but is better than the app. On occasion, I have clients tell me they were unable to send me a message in MyCase, although I haven't confirmed if this was through a web browser on a laptop, on a mobile phone, or the mobile app.

MyCase is a superb practice management program for lawyers. It has an elegantly rudimentary interface that is fast. In choosing not to paint webpages to 'look' sophisticated, it is much faster than almost all the pther products available. And I have spent 6 months (3 full time) testing out the competition. The organizational logic of the pages and functionality is right on point for a law practice. There is a ease to its use - but a sophisticated result. There are some flaws: 1. The billing area is great - but the single invoice template is not terribly professional. The boxes and lines are very amateurish - and not professional at all. 2. The portal as a feature is great. The emails that the system generates are a real problem. First, they have a banner on top that declares "MyCase" - and there is no way to change it. No need for this as my clients will not subscribe - they will never need a legal practice management program. Moreover, it is quite embarrassing that this goes to my clients. They delete it as spam. If my name was on the top - as it should be - then my firm will be featured to my clients in my practice. 3. Oddly, it appears that MyCase has taken the position that the client should be on the same level as the attorney - and the client interface is way to wide open. What MyCase does not get is that the lawyer is different. And we may not want the client to know each time we delete s document from their file. But, if the portal is active - the system send an email when documents are added, deleted, changed, tasks are listed .... all on its own - making the portal useless - unless you wish to remain perpetually embarrassed. That said - if you do not need the portal - it is by far the best I have used. My brother also uses it - no portal - and he loves its functionality as well. If you have no need for a portal - you can't find a better deal or a better product.

I regularly use MyCase as my case management platform and it mostly meets my needs. It's quick and mostly convenient, and affordable compared to other case management offerings, and clients seem to use and like it. However, it needs some basic improvements before I could give it 5 stars. First and foremost, there are no options to sort uploaded documents by name, date uploaded, date created, type, etc. They're just dumped into the documents section in a jumble and you have to make the best of it. Second, the ability to file emails is great - but it's made inconvenient by the fact that you have to always remember to BCC or forward each email to MyCase, and then you have to assign it to the appropriate file when you next visit MyCase. MyCase needs to keep up with its chief competitor and produce a browser extension that lets you file emails to MyCase in one click; and it needs to do a better job auto-filing those emails to the appropriate file in MyCase. It should at least auto-populate its best guess for every email when you go to file them, rather than leaving the case field blank and forcing you to fill it in for each email. This is especially galling where the email address who sent or received the email is only associated with one file, and multiple emails to/from that address have already been filed to MyCase! In short, the email system needs to be streamlined, and to learn from your past email sorting to be worth using. I have a backlog of hundreds of emails in MyCase I haven't yet assigned to a file, just because it's such a pain. Invoicing and timekeeping need some tweaking as well. It should be easier to manually deduct money from client trust accounts without invoicing them, as when the attorney has spent money from the client's trust account for filing fees, etc. It should also be easy to manually invoice a particular amount to a client, that is not tied to the amount outstanding on the hourly billing. Sometimes an attorney needs greater flexibility in billing, and the system shouldn't tie them to the amount in the timekeeping system. Lastly, the emails which alert you to recent client activity should tell you what the client activity was, or at minimum provide a link to MyCase! Currently the email gives you no sense of what the "recent client activity" was, and no convenient way of launching MyCase to find out. You then have to delete the email and go launch MyCase. A simple link to either launch the app if on mobile, or launch the website would be a simple improvement to the user experience. Besides the specific gripes, MyCase is easy to use and lightweight. It makes it easy to upload documents, schedule events, and accept payments, and is a great value added feature for clients. I would recommend MyCase, but would be happier to recommend it if they made some fundamental improvements.

I like MyCase, customer service is responsive, billing is painless. My only real complaint is that reporting won't show all revenue. It only shows a total for hourly billing (flat rate fees aren't included)

I have been delighted with My Case. I appreciate the billing functions especially. I have not taken the time to implement all of the benefits of My Case although I'm confident they would benefit my practice greatly. But over all have nothing but good experiences with the program.

I absolutely LOVE MyCase for my small firm. I have been using it for almost 3 years now and I have both my legal intern and my assistant using the billing and tasks to manage cases. I also use the recurring credit card payments and PayPros for my credit card processing. The only thing I wish MyCase would change is that all of the staff can see the amounts of money coming into the firm for the year, month, week, etc.... I wish there was an option to allow only the primary see those types of numbers or allow you to limit who sees the money coming in and out. Other than that I recommend MyCase to all of my friends who have a small or solo practice. Most reasonable and efficient billing and case managing system out there!!!
