We’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the outcome of your claim. However, making payments and maintaining an active service contract does not automatically mean every mechanical failure is eligible for coverage. In this case, the claim was reviewed and denied because the transmission failure was determined to be pre-existing, meaning the condition existed prior to the applicable coverage. The vehicle’s service history also did not show that the transmission had been serviced at the manufacturer-recommended intervals. We understand how frustrating it is to have a major repair denied, especially after maintaining coverage for over a year. However, we are required to administer every claim according to the terms of the service contract and cannot authorize a failure that falls outside those terms. We would be happy to review the claim with you and explain the specific findings that resulted in the denial.
