MuukalOpticalReviews of muukal.com

Totally ILLEGAL SCAM company. Will take your money, ship you defective glasses, and will not issue a refund no matter what you say. Many customers have had the same terrible experience! They try to force unhappy customers to remove negative reviews in exchange for a partial refund. If you refuse to delete a truthful, negative review, they just say no, they will not give your money back! PLEASE, do NOT lose your hard-earned money like I did! These MUUKAL people are CRIMINALS!

***update you can see for yourself the type of company they are by their reply. They clearly wrote they don’t treat people with gratitude. Again I simply ordered a second pair in a year. Their comment speaks volumes itself. And of course none of my reviews which is only this one is going to be good. Again buyer beware look at what you are dealing with. ***. I had a very disappointing and frankly shocking experience with this company. I placed an order for two pairs of glasses, and instead of any proper communication, my order was simply refunded without explanation—no email, no notification, nothing. When I reached out to ask what happened, I received unprofessional and rude text messages. I was told that because I chose lower-priced glasses, my order would not be accepted again. There is absolutely nothing on their website stating any restriction on purchasing their more affordable items, nor any policy explaining this behavior. What made this even worse was the tone of their response. I was told I was not “welcome” to purchase from them and was accused of not having a “grateful heart.” This is completely unacceptable customer service. Instead of addressing a legitimate question, they chose to insult and dismiss a paying customer. Businesses are free to set policies—but those policies should be clearly stated and applied professionally. Refunding an order without notice and then responding with hostility is not how you treat customers. I would strongly caution others before ordering from this company. Transparency, respect, and basic professionalism seem to be lacking here.

I would dissuade any one from shopping with Muukal. I've ordered Readers my entire adult life (I'm a professor and author), so I'm very familiar with them. What I received was not simply not my magnification: it was 100s of degrees off, and they refused to acknowledge this. The glasses were also cheap and loose and poorly made. They looked nothing like the photos. But hey, I would have kept them if I could see. Any other company I've ordered Readers from accepts returns no questions asked. And, I always write them positive reviews. But, I explicitly asked Muukal about their Return policy; they assured me they offered a 100% guarantee. Now, they delay, they obfuscate, they say "my prescription must be wrong." (There is no prescription; they are Readers!). I urge you to save the energy and the expense, and shop elsewhere.

Muukal did not like my negative comment and sent this childish remark: You are the dumbest customer we have ever met, none of them. Don't you even know what your own card is? Do you need us to find this card for you? We will let everyone know how foolish you are. Goodbye I simply asked them to confirm the last four digits of the card they supposedly credited as I have more than credit card. and have not seen a refund. Unprofessional!!! Wow!!! Your sincerely Hygge ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ordered 3 pairs of frames on a promo offer. The frames did not look like the ones on the website and did not work for my frame style. I emailed back and forth with Hygge who indicated he would offer a 50% refund for the order. I kept checking for the refund on my flex spending credit card. I sent Hygge an email with the screenshot of the only transaction by Muukal in my card activity which was the original purchase amount for the order. I resent the same email after a few days of no reply. Hygge eventually replied with "we have refunded you." I asked for the transaction details such as the refund amount, date and the last four of the card for the refund. This should have been back to my flex spending card but it was not. In summary, I had a bad experience and never received the refund as noted.

The old adage, you get what you pay for, rings true. These 3 pairs of glasses are so cheap, I’m afraid they are going to break anytime I put them on or take them off. Also, can’t see out of them. Everything is blurry. The Dr told me that ordering online they don’t get your prescription right regarding where each lenses is put. I have progressives and the frame needs to be fitted hands on in order for them to be right. It’s not worth my time to send them back, but buyer be wear.

i purchased 2 pair oof glases, they arrived and i could not see out of either pair, contacted customer service they wanted a copy of the prescription from optomitrist, sent that they said okay i had input the correct number and that it was because the glasses where to large for bifocal, i said i had purchased glasses online for 15 years and the glasses i wear daily are larger. All kinds of excuses. They said they woud refund half of what i paid. Be wary of this company

Love Muukal's frames as they have many that are so very unique. I wear progressive glasses and have been for several years. I ordered three pair of progressives, none of which I can wear because they strain my eyes on the larger frames because they are blurred and the smaller frame I just cannot see out of them at all - not distance, not the computer, not to read close up! Cannot use any of them especially the smaller frame!!! Their customer service is great (until it is not), but could not solve my issue with the glasses and refunded a portion of my purchase price for the original 3 pairs. I saw my doctor and revised the prescription a little and reordered two more pair of glasses trying to give the a second chance. Again, the progressives were not well done at all. I have to hold them up and away from my face to use them and cannot use them at all for computer use! I requested a refund on these and will not be reordering ever again from Muukal. If you have single prescriptions, they might be able to do them, but I do not trust them at all with progressives. UPDATE: DO NOT ORDER GLASSES FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A SCAM AND NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!! They make junk products and then still charge you a portion of the price for their poor manufacturing and do not take accountability for the fact that they can't get prescriptions right! They have an F rating with the BBB and add insult to injury by telling you in order to get a full refund you have to ship your faulty product back to China for a cost of $100 - 200 and the glasses were not worth that price to begin with!!! To respond to their thoughtless response: Though the ADD is not the same on the prescriptions, you have failed to provide me with ANY pair of progressive glasses that work for either prescription. I now have 4 pairs of glasses that I cannot use that I PAID for!!!

Nice glasses but can only look straight, side views are blurred, payed for extra wide view but all three pairs are the same,
