Same old get lucky with a radio spin not quite what we are looking for on a selection and most don't even reply still pending years later

It's the worst Music Business service. Don't trust these guys. This is an automated service to give money to them. Please spend your money at Mc Donalds...it's better. These guys don't have a clue of what they are doing.

I was selected but I've got no idea who selected it and what the next steps are. I have been using your site for years and it is not user-friendly or progressive in the least. And it is very expensive for the amount of support and placements that actually happen. I have come across people on your list who have died but the listings were still there, was offered deals for my music that were not equitable and so I declined and now another selection but silence on the other end. Your site needs better IT integration, database tracking for musicians to keep better track of who submissions were sent to and what the outcomes are so they can be reviewed at any time, ratings about the truth of some of the people and organizations who are requesting music. Yes, I can read reviews but they are always nice because no one wants to risk the truth. So I'd go anonymous on that one. Fiverr.com does a 2 part survey one facing and one behind the scenes.

One out of 10 opportunities when you said the song had a 99% success rate. 4 of those it’s been 6 months and no feedback. Including Wind Up Records. I want a refund. 2. My other account you refuse to make live and allow the opportunities I posted to be seen by Artists because I called you out for a being a scam; this just proves my point....

Hi Nolan - we sent you an email on November 10th offering to remove your unattended songs from consideration and issue you a credit for your submission and transaction fees, but didn't receive a reply (since you're confirming that in this review, we'll go in and process that for you now). The selection prediction scores are our best estimate based on the data we have available at the time, but are by no means a guarantee; we have a blog post that goes into further detail about how it works here: http://www.musicxray.com/prediction_explanation. Also, sorry to hear you weren't selected to post opportunities on the site. We have a strict vetting process for everyone who applies to be an MIP on the site - a vast majority of applicants are not accepted. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help!

Music Xray is perhaps the largest gimmick there is on the internet in terms of connecting Artists with Labels, A&R Reps, etc. I had such high hopes with what this company was offering its prospects, so much so that I decided I'd wait a few years before leaving a review. Before I discuss my experiences with Music Xray I'd like to acknowledge the fact that most people who submit music (99%+) just simply aren't as good as they think they are, which is something I understand fully. I was a signed artist with a massive record label and have over 10 years of audio engineering experience. I got to tour the U.S. to perform, and I recognize good and bad material (even in my own creations). It's important for me to disclose my experience in the music industry because according to claims made by Music Xray, I should have gotten at least one contract/deal out of my submissions by now. My music has consistently been rated in the top 90-95+ percentile within my genre of music, and according to Music Xray, these statistics mean it shouldn't take longer than 10 submissions to get selected. I have submitted a significantly larger amount than 10 tracks and have been a member for 5 years with consistent and also currently active submissions (even submissions that have yielded no reply from supposed Labels after 2+ years). They basically robbed me. Sold me the dream! On the submissions I have received a reply from they were anything but useful. In fact they were down right disrespectful. Most replies are generic and read something along the lines of "Good tone but just not something we are looking for right now. Try submitting a different track with us". Not even any constructive criticism revolving around the track itself in an effort to help the artist improve. If they at least provided that sort of insight then maybe, MAYBE it'd be worth it. Additionally, each song costs money to submit, and even more money if a particular track hasn't been submitted to any opportunities on their site before (if it is a new song), because Music Xray wants to charge a ridiculous "Diagnostics Fee", which does absolutely NOTHING. I still have tracks that have been waiting on diagnostic reports for over 187 days after a submission. This site is all lies. Maybe 1 out of every million people get a $2,000 deal - after they've paid $3,000 to get one. SMH. A&R Reps and Labels on this site claim to be entities that work with major players in the game, but don't fall for it. Do your due diligence and hop on Google. You'll quickly discover that these fools are mostly low end internet based startups spinning hot garbage. Fact of the matter here is this industry is filled with BS. 2% of the music industry actually make money, and the rest are scrounging around sites like Music Xray and desperately preying on hungry artists with dreams that give life to susceptibility. You've been warned. Save your money - you're better off promoting yourself.

I wouldn’t recommend it his service.

Music XRay is Horrible. They don’t bother doing Diagnostics anymore. Don’t pay for it. Their submissions sit for like a year. No acceptable refund process. No responses to emails. They are a SCAM and a disgrace.
