It's artificial streaming , not from real users with genuine listening intent
In spite of all their clever explanations/excuses, the data I gathered clearly showed that the streams deriving from their campaign are not genuine. The suspicious biweekly spikes which they kept attributing to the spotify algorithm magically disappeared the moment my campaign stopped. As soon as the campaign ended, listeners and streams dramatically dropped, even as my songs were added to many more spotify playlists as part of a different (with real listeners) campaign. Right now of the thousands of listeners and 500+ followers I had apparently gained, hardly anyone is listening anymore, the exact opposite of what they advertise.
Response from MusicvertisingJun 5, 2026
Hello, We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We want to clarify that Musicvertising does not use bots, artificial streams, or automated listening systems. Our campaigns are designed to promote artists to real Spotify users through advertising and audience-targeting methods intended to generate genuine exposure. Regarding the listener fluctuations you mentioned, Spotify listener and stream activity naturally varies over time. It is common for campaigns, algorithmic recommendations, and audience discovery patterns to generate periods of increased activity followed by periods of stabilization. The fact that activity changes after a campaign ends is not unusual, as promotional exposure is no longer actively driving new discovery at the same rate. It's also important to note that follower growth, listener growth, and long-term retention can vary significantly from artist to artist depending on factors such as genre, release frequency, audience engagement, catalog depth, and how listeners respond to the music itself after the initial discovery. We understand that you interpreted the data differently, and we respect your perspective. However, we stand by the legitimacy of our promotion methods and remain committed to providing real audience exposure rather than artificial engagement. We appreciate the opportunity to have worked with you and wish you the very best with your music career moving forward. Musicvertising Team
