To clarify, Mudflap processes fuel payments through the app rather than at the pump, which is why adding a payment method is required. Uploading a photo of your driver’s license is an important security measure to help protect your payment information and ensure account safety. Regarding the credit card fee, we hear your frustration. The 1.9% processing fee for using a credit card in the Mudflap app can be avoided by switching your payment method to a bank account, debit card, or the Mudflap Fuel Card that has no fees! This amount is applied toward your purchase, and any unused portion is released immediately after you fuel or cancel your code. To avoid this hold entirely, you can switch to paying via a bank account.
