Mr. Rooter PlumbingReviews of mrrooter.com

Unclogged commode with 6 foot snake for $236.00. We had a drain cleaning coupon for $99.00 but plumber said that did not apply. A sense of mis-representation. This was an exorbitant charge for work performed but plumber was pleasant and commode flushes.

They asked for a review so here it is.. I called for a stopped up drain line after we used our own 3 inch snake which help some but felt something was still in there. The two technicians showed up on a Sunday and were nice(which is why they get a 2 star) They said it was flushing fine and found no issues after adding a lot of tissue to the toilet. We asked them to run a snake with a larger clearing capacity that could possible go through the line to the street, because it was not fine. They ran a snake only 3 ft longer than what we had. They then ran a camera to show it was flushing fine but said the toilet was old and needed to be replaced, it has a low flushing pressure which was causing the stoppage, told us if we didn't want to replace it to just practice extra flushing habits. The next day it stopped up again but cleared after we plunged it. I do not use that bathroom so when I was informed by the person that does that it was still doing it. I called back, and got the run a round from a supervisor. The receptionist was great and did her best to handle the call. While speaking with that supervisor who then decided to put a so called expert from their team on the phone. After gong in circles with him they agreed to come back out. They never showed back up or called. I am having to call another plumber out to clear the line. They advertise no extra cost for coming out anytime. Not true, they work that after hour cost in to the price. It caused me $200. I truly feel I was overcharged. If the line was not clogged based on their diagnosis then why was I charged to unstopped the line and not just a quote for a new toilet?

Mr rooter has done some work for me a couple of times they’ve done what I’ve asked did not have any idea what i should have been charged until i had a real plumber come out i found out i was charged about three times more than what it should have been but i agreed to the price not knowing my advice to anyone needing a plumber to find one locally not one who has to advertise on tv or all over the internet or any nationwide company and to get a couple of quotes

I hired this company to re-connect the main water line to the sprinkler system. The first plumbers they sent, didn't think they could do it, but they charged me $700. They sent a second team out. They claimed to have connected the main water line to the sprinkler system. They didn't test it!! I tested it after I paid them $700. It wasn't connected. I had to call a third time. They sent out the same two plumbers. They worked four hours to correct the pathetic mess they created in the first place. They did finally get the connection made. They charged me another $1,900. Add those amounts up. If you're dumb enough to hire these folks, good luck!!!

We had a completely blocked kitchen sink. Two technicians showed up, convinced us that a Hyfro-scrub was much better than just snaking the blockage - we agreed and was given the estimate of $800.00 plus, but with us not knowing exactly what was involved. In hindsight though, they were here less than one hour. Even if they make $50.00/hour for labor, what is the other $700.00 for ??? There is no product involved or utilized, just our water and our electricity. Therefore we feel we were ripped off. By the way, we are retired people in our 70's and 80's. For sure, if there is another need for this kind of service we will look elsewhere.
