I did a job for them. Their first contact stated they could pay with Zelle. Then after they said they can’t pay with Zelle. Sent them paypal into. 5 emails of them saying they are processing payment and should be paid in a few days. Still no results. They at least have responded to each email saying sorry for the delay, but each promise just goes unkept. Unfortunately,I found a long list of notaries on a facebook group who have complained about non payment or payments after months of complaining. Very disappointed. Update: after I posted this review, payment was made moments later. Several people from the facebook group I mentioned said that they got paid after posting their review on this site. Update 2: Ike from the opal group called me and said his person making payments was in Jamaica and was involved in a hurricane and this was the cause for the delay. He apologized for the delay. I mentioned to him that the replies should have noted the emergency happening, but it didn’t. The responses kept saying it will be taken care of in a few days. It repeatedly was not handled until I put up the review, which isn’t good. As I mentioned, Ike was apologetic and said he’s working on getting things straightened out to get notaries paid more promptly. It was nice of him to call. Since he took the time to call, I’ll be willing to give them another chance.

FRAUD. Overcharged me $260.20 then called asking for more money. After that they said that the emergency rush service they had promised as same day would not occur until Monday. I asked for a refund and they have been playing hide and seek ever since. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

I completed a notary assignment for The Opal Group in October 2025. Their written service terms state that notaries are paid within 5–10 business days (and in another communication, 7–14 days). As of today, it has been 76 days, and I still have not received payment. I have sent multiple invoices and follow-ups and have not received a response regarding the payment status. At this time, I cannot recommend working with this company due to the lack of communication and overdue payment.

It takes forever to be paid by them. It took them almost a full month to get paid for services I did for them. I reached out numerous times via email, text and phone calls and they would put me in a que and then never get back to me.

Change of times with poor communication, representative never did finger printing before and advise she was there just as a notary.

If I could rate them ZERO stars I would. Not only did the notary not show up, when i was notified was nearly a half an hour later. They cost us extra days in fees because of not having the notarized loan docs to close as scheduled. We were left scrambling to find someone else. HORRIBLE customer service. I would not recommend this company at all.
