I have been a MOVO user for the past few years after I had trouble opening a traditional bank account while I built up my credit again. I was grateful to be able to use the account to receive direct deposits from my job and make online bill payments and purchases with the debit card, with the added benefit of being able to transfer money to my friends and family with MOVO accounts. There were some restrictions on the card while they upgraded the security systems, but I did get information whenever I called for the update, and once they launched the online portal, I was able to use the card again within a day. I have been verified for a few weeks now and everything is back up and running smoothly! I am excited to start using my MOVO card again and will undoubtedly be sticking with them. Thanks MOVO!!

MOVO had a rough patch and the use of the card was difficult for a couple for months. Not sure what was going on, but after going through their website to re-verify my identity, the use of my card was restored to what it was when I signed up a couple of years ago. Seems things are back to normal in the app and my ability to use my card. I still like Movo, especially the CASH Card. BTW, I LOVE the new Movo card with the chip in it!

Do not apply for this card! It took me 19 attempts to try to sign up for card to no avail. I got a call from CEO Eric Solis who confirmed who I was finally. Had the card to use in 04/2020 to (07/25/2020). I got the card to pay monthly bills with. In the midst of 105% temps & the raging covid-19 pandemic, I attempt three times to load money to my card. Every attempt rejected. After apprx. three weeks of my card locked down I finally get word of issue from MOVO. Now, in the sixth week of my acct. being locked, I get notice that I need to reverify who I am. This is after several of my services were shut down in Aug. 2020 for non-payment. These bills could not be paid locally in anyway! I attempt the reverification process. I am declined due to someone inputting my home address incorrectly into the system. I attempt to correct the incorrect address. The box keeps telling me my legal address is invalid and refuses to correct it. I phone customer support to verify address. I then write an email in plain, clear english of why I'm not being verified. Days later I receive message back to call them. I ask the rep. if he has my letter in front of him? I give him the reference number they assigned to my acct. so he could pull it up to note the incorrect address the system is trying to verify me with. In my letter to them I clearly state the correct legal address I gave them when account opened. I also gave them the erroneous address the verification process was using. Instead of pulling up my letter, the rep. after I explain twice on the phone...you have my address wrong in the verification system...tries to verify me over the phone. I am declined again!!!! By this point, I am enraged. I am a disabled senior living below the poverty level. Yesterday my monthly bills were due again. No way of paying my crucial bills again!!!!!! I phone support & request a supervisor or higher up. I'm left on hold for over 25 mins. I hang up & phone back. Finally connected to supervisor by name of David who kept trying to talk over me. He wasn't listening at all! I was yelling by this point - you have the wrong address in the reverification process. How the heck do you ever think you are going to verify me? How can you ask me questions containing old addresses as old as 29 yrs. old & they are correct? Yet, the present address I gave you in April for my account is incorrect! How many times do I have to tell you Mr. Solis. Someone inputted the wrong address into your verification process! This is beyond pure INSANITY!!!! I have no way of paying my bills for the second month in a row!!!!!! I am thru! We are in the middle of a horrific pandemic where folks income is scarce. My patience has more than ran out dealing with this incompetency! I figured out what the problem is & your personnel just keep ignoring it!!! Please, if you are disabled or a senior do not apply for this card! I have used Debit Visa cards for at least 10 years Never have I been thru such incompetent insanity! And, never have I been locked out of any account ever for 6 weeks +++.

Only because they can’t be a zero they get a 1. They were Ok for a couple of years, but with this latest ‘event’ they are a full blown zero. Sorry for your inconvenience but no you can’t get your money. The card is locked your direct deposit is no longer working. You can’t transfer the money anywhere. The fed must be so far up their backside they are two headed. The executives are all ghosts. 5 weeks of continuing failures and no end in sight. I just hope the the fdic will get us back our money.

Scammers. They had over $350 of my money and they suddenly locked my account. First they replied to the email saying we'll get back to you, then got an email from CEO saying too many fake accounts were made so they are locking ALL accounts, and then they stopped replying to emails!! All my money is still locked! What do I do?? How to get it back? EDIT: Wow, finally getting a (copy/paste) reply after SOOO many months! I already reached out to support. They want my documents (I don't trust you scammers with them. Can't you JUST RETURN MY MONEY?)

RUN AWAY from this company. I am now in Day 8 of having my account locked, apparently along with 70,000 other cardholders due to some widespread fraud. This is my bill-paying and personal expense account. As of today, I incur a $35 late fee for my car loan. I have no gas in my car and can’t even withdraw cash. Customer service (haha) is useless, nothing but empty apologies, no answers on how long this will persist. How can any financial firm in this tech era have a security problem like this drag on so long without resolution or concrete answers at a minimum. As soon as this is resolved, I will get my money out of MOVO and run away from them. There are too many functioning alternatives to garbage like this. And BTW: this is NOT the first time they’ve done this.

Unable to use my money for 3+ weeks already. Debit card keeps getting declined and I can't withdrawal the money to my bank account. The money is stuck with them. Contacted customer support and they can't even give you a time frame of when the problem will be fixed, they just give you generic answers that don't help at all. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!

I have more than $1000 on it but i cant send out or do anything with it
