You have to choose at least one star!? MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR deserves no stars! they deserve minus stars! Do not buy from MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR! MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR allows customer service representatives to straight up lie to make a sale! even on clearance items that cannot be returned under any circumstance! TO A HOMELESS SENIOR! I am homeless and trying to acquire gear to keep me alive in the brutal Massachusetts winters where temperatures can easily get down to -15 without wind shear! I explained to this sales representative from MOUNTAIN HARDWARE!! I explained my entire situation! that I was homeless and needed to purchase the best -0 temperatures survival gear! and the sales representative from MOUNTAIN HARDWARE LIED TO ME!!! and told me that the parka I was going to purchase for $500 comes with the bibs/overalls! I repeatedly question the sales representative from MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR on this, asking her why doesn't it include it in the listing, in the advertisement? and she said it was just changed and the bibs / overalls were just included in the deal to clear them out! After putting me on hold multiple times this MOUNTAIN HARDWARE sales representative repeatedly said she checked with MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR management, and her MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR sales team, and continued repeating that the bibs or overalls whatever you want to call them WILL BE INCLUDED with purchase of the $500 parka! This was a straight up LIE! After over an hour with the multiple on holds and repeated lies the representative terminated the call when she realized I wasn't falling for it, and I asked for a confirmation email about this supposed change or addition where the bibs/overalls were included in the purchase of the parka! It was when I asked for a confirmation email that she finally realized I wasn't falling for it and she terminated the phone call! I then immediately used the chat feature to speak with a supervisor which I never was connected to a supervisor just another MOUNTAIN HARDWARE sales representative and when I chatted with this new sales representative online from MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR this time online not the phone! I told them what happened, THAT THEIR SALES REPRESENTATIVE LIED TO ME REPEATEDLY KEPT ME ON THE PHONE OVER AN HOUR AND DOING ALL OF THIS WITH COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE THAT I WAS HOMELESS AS I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION and I immediately explain my situation to this new sales representative from MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR, and they said they would immediately investigate it but never even asked me for my phone number! I said how are you going to INVESTIGATE THE PHONE CALL WITHOUT MY PHONE NUMBER!!!? Then after several minutes of complete silence and her not responding she finally typed out, said oh yeah what's your phone number!!! She said I would be receiving an email to make an official complaint! You think I received an email? You got it, NO EMAIL! However I did receive an email today saying since we haven't heard from you we are now closing your case! I immediately emailed back and then received an immediate undeliverable response! THIS IS MOUNTAIN HARDWARE! MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR is a sleaze ball company! I repeatedly requested them to honor what their MOUNTAIN HARDWARE sales representative SWORE TO ME SEVERAL TIMES FOR OVER AN HOUR ON THE PHONE , and MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR refused repeatedly!!! I then said you should at least sell me the bibs/overalls at cost with my purchase of the $500 parka? Guess what their response was? You got it! MOUNTAIN HARDWARE NOT ONLY wouldn't even honor what their sales representative told me multiple times for over an hour on the phone!, which were straight up lies and deceit! then they wouldn't even attempt to try and compensate or in any way make it right by selling the bibs/ overalls at cost! I would be paying the $500 for the parka, and the bibs at cost, and MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR would be losing nothing, and selling a $500 parka! Now they've lost a customer forever! and I'm going to expose the deceitful tactics and lies of MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR and their fraudulent lying sales representatives on every site possible! If you do business with MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR you will regret it!!!

Just sharing my experience, to be real my package was left out in the rain by the courier so I ended up just buying it elsewhere instead! Won't be ordering from them again!

I wish I could give their warranty less than 1 star, literally garbage and non existent warranty, go spend your money on a manufacture that actually stands behind their product.

I bought a $350 MGH jacket (shell), and when I returned it for repairs because one small piece broke off the zipper, they said it was not covered under their warranty. I have never had such a poor experience with a return before (no emails saying they received my product, were returning it - nothing except for the jacket returned in the mail with a brief written note). I have sworn by MGH for years and used their returns before, but I will never be buying another MGH product. Both their products and warranties have become total garbage.

Never received my order and customer service apologized then offered me 25% off my next order instead of a refund.

The "Hostage" Period: They will not even begin to process your refund until they physically receive the item and inspect it to "make sure it isn't something else." The Two-Week Wait: Between shipping the item back, their inspection period, and the bank processing time, you are looking at nearly 10-14 days before you even get your money back. Triple Shipping Time: By the time you finally get your refund and can order the correct size, you’ll have waited three weeks just to get a single pair of pants that fits. It is honestly shocking that a "premium" brand offers such bottom-tier service. They have no physical stores to help you, yet they refuse to make the online experience consumer-friendly. Save yourself the headache and buy from REI or Patagonia instead—anywhere that actually values your time and loyalty. Mountain Hardwear’s policy is the fastest way to lose a customer for life.

I will not be buying anything from Mountain Hardwear again. Mediocre products and terrible customer service.

I just had a very unsatisfactory experience with MHM customer care department. The agents were polite, so it's not about them. Here's the story. I went online to purchase a new ski jacket for my wife for Christmas. I entered my email address when prompted promising a 15% discount on a full priced product. I then went to place an order for the Mythogen Gore-Tex jacket that she had asked for. On checkout I expected to receive the discount but I didn't see it so I ordered it anyway since it was a Christmas present and quantities were limited. I paid $800. After I placed the order I noticed that I had received a promo code in my text messages. I called customer service and was told to call back when I received the jacket for an adjustment. I called back today (having received the jacket) and was told there would be no adjustment. I was told that I should return the jacket to California and place another order for the same jacket with the promo code. So, my wife goes without a Christmas present and we waste time and energy sending jackets back and forth across the country.
